FORM A Proposal: Name of the event to be organized: Job Fair 2018 Date: March 13, 2018 Time: 09:00 AM 05:00 PM Venue: Rukmini Devi Institute of Advanced Studies, New Delhi Motivation for the activity: The Job Fair 2018 was organized at Rukmini Devi Institute of Advanced Studies (RDIAS) wherein 26 corporate and start-ups participated to fulfill their manpower needs by hiring young candidates from pool of talent among MBA students. Organized by: Training & Placement Department, RDIAS 9

FORM B Part 1 Aim of the event: The sole purpose of organizing Job Fair was to offer job opportunities to MBA students of RDIAS. They offered employment opportunities to the students catering to diverse areas of Marketing, Human Resource, and Finance. The students after the interview with the Company officials were given on the spot job offers. Part 2 Abstract: A little inspiration and motivation can go a long way in the daunting job search process. Annual Job Fair is a pragmatic platform that presents our management students access to organizations for full time positions. This year, the event witnessed footfall of 86 students with participation of 26 companies for full time hiring. Some of the companies at job fair included IndusInd Bank, HSBC, American Express, Frankfinn Institute of Air Hostess Training, Bajaj Capital, Just Dial etc., for various positions in the domains of Marketing, Human Resource and Finance etc. with a salary package ranging from 1.80 5.0 LPA. The event started with the inaugural ceremony by our tradition of lamp lightning and felicitation of the dignitaries followed by a motivational speech by Director Sir. Sir, in his speech addressed the delegates from various corporate houses and the aspiring students. He wished Good Luck to all the students for their interview and also appreciated the efforts put in by the organizing committee. All the delegates were then felicitated with flowers and memento as a token of 10

appreciation. Student Coordinators team was also appreciated with small gifts for their hard work and determination in organizing the event. After the inaugural, the delegates moved to respective rooms allotted to them for conducting different rounds of their recruitment process. Few selections were made on the same day and others shortlisted the students for final round in the company premises. In total, 49 students got selected and 17 students were shortlisted for final round. It was a successful career fair which connected our students to employers, facilitated networking with recruiters and of course learning about upcoming opportunities and requirements. The companies gave all the students a fresh perspective on jobs because they were offering awesomely creative jobs. The corporate and start-ups which participated had the chance to sight and source the bright talents as per the job description and number of vacancies. It was a great learning experience for the students at RDIAS having participated in the Fair which offered spot offers. Part 3 Conclusion Finding a job that is a good fit is as much about you selecting the right company as it is about them selecting the right candidate. - Miles Anthony Smith With the help of the Job fair the students of MBA got the practical exposure of facing interview at One Stop. On the spot offers encouraged the students to analyze the important role of each area of specialization like Marketing, Human Resource, Finance and IT in the day to day work culture. Feedback was shared with the students to enhance their technical skills and knowledge as per the demands of the industry. The placement fair was a door step platform which facilitated the students with experience of how the corporate machinery works and the skill set required for achieving their desired professional goals. 11
