Workshop On Cloud Computing Department of Information Technology, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida, organized a half day workshop on Cloud Computing on 13th February, 2015. The workshop was conducted by IIHT Limited. The objective of the workshop was to offer a comprehensive knowledge about cloud computing and its competitiveness to increase opportunities for students in software industry and give them exposure to a hands-on session of cloud. Workshop on Digital Marketing Courses and Its Future Scopes A one day Workshop on Digital Marketing Courses and Its Future Scopes was organized by DGI Google Student Club, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida on 28th February, 2015. The workshop was attended by the 2nd & 3rd Year students of Computer Science and Information Technology Branch. The purpose of this workshop was to make the students familiar with the concept of Digital Marketing and Search Engine Optimization. It was a hands on session web development and implementation of SEO on a blog. The inaugural session was graced by the presence of Prof. S.K. Bagga, Director, DGI, Administrator, Registrar, Advisor R&D, faculty members of Computer Science and Information Technology Department.

Technoxian Android Apps Development Workshop Two Days Workshop and National Android Apps Development Championship held at Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida was organized by Department of Information Technology and MCA on 26 th & 27 th March, 2015. The event was conducted by e-cell, IIT-Delhi in association with Times Globacom Private Limited. The objective of the workshop was to give the students a platform for exploration of the vast world of mobile apps development using Android environment. Students of various departments participated in the workshop. Regional Workshop On Copyrights, Patent, Citation and their Impact Factor A Workshop on Copyrights, Patent, Citation and their Impact Factor was organized by Society of Social Development & People's Action and Gandhi Peace Foundation, New Delhi on 25th April 2015 at the Gandhi Peace Foundation, New Delhi. The Seminar was designed mainly to develop an understanding of various aspects of IPR like Patents, Copyrights and their Impact Factor. More than 50 participants from different spheres including Industry representatives, faculty members, research scholars and students attended the workshop. Dr. Deepti Gupta, Associate Professor, Department of Information Technology from Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida attended this workshop as a delegate.

2 Weeks Training on Red Hat Linux A Two week training program on Red Hat Linux was organized at Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida from 22 nd June to 3 rd July, 2015. Students from Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Information Technology (IT), Computer Science & Information Technology (CS&IT) and Master of Computer Applications (MCA) branches along with Dr. Deepti Gupta ( Associate Professor ) and Mr. Tapan Kr. Das participated in the training program. Mr. Subhrajit Nag, Head of Department, Department of CSE, IT and MCA) coordinated the training program. The training sessions were delivered by Mr. Prabhat Goyal, Sr. Trainer from Network Nuts Pvt. Ltd, Red Hat Authorized Delivery Partner, as preparation for RHCSA global certification exam. The proceedings of the first day of the training commenced with an inaugural session attended by Prof. (Dr.) S.K. Bagga, Director, Prof. Ashwani Kumar, Academic Administrator and Prof. B. L. Kaul, Registrar, DGI Greater Noida.

Industrial Visit To Microsoft A one day visit to Microsoft Corporation (I) Pvt. Ltd., Gurgaon was organized by Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida for the students of Computer Science & Engineering and Information Technology on 21st March, 2015. 25 students from the above said engineering disciplines got the opportunity to experience the work culture in Microsoft. Industrial Visit To BSNL The objective of the tour was to enhance knowledge and skill of the participants regarding use of Networking and data transmission in india and abroad. Dr. Santanu Koley, Associate Professor, CSE Department from Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida along with students of B.tech (Computer Science & IT) IVth and VIth semesterwent for the visit with great zeal of getting knowledge from BSNL severs, Routers, Hub, Gateways, cabling, as well as wireless technology they are using.

Seminar on Sustainable Solution for access to Safe Water TERI (The Energy and Resource Institute) organized a two day seminar on Sustainable Solution for access to Safe Water at GNIOT Greater Noida on 21st- 22nd January, 2015. Mr. Amit Kumar Sharma, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Civil Engineering along with students Neha Srivastava (ECE), Prabhakar Kumar Gupta (ECE), Pooja Kumari (ECE), Ajay Bhwankan (CE), Pankaj Sharma (CE), Litty Thomas (CSE), Sooraj (CSE), Md. Danish(EEE), Ankit Tiwari (IT) and Gaurav Rajput (IT) participated in this seminar. CSI-Panel Discussion on Make In India A short Panel Discussion on Make in India was organized by CSI-Delhi chapter at Indian International Centeron February 16th, 2015. The discussion focused on enlightening the audience of the purpose underneath the campaign of Make In India and the probable contribution of IT in this national programme. The session was coordinated by thehonorary Treasurer of CSI-Delhi chapter, Dr. R.K. Bansal. The event saw a total turn-around of 50 dignitaries from various organizations. Pearson Business Conference on International Alliance Partnerships for Indian A Business Conference on International Alliance Partnerships for Indian Institutions was organized by Unica Solutions in association with Pearson at The Royal Plaza Hotel, New Delhi on February 28th, 2015. The objective of this conference was to promote the establishment of UBSO centers across India, especially in engineering institutions, wherein students nearing the completion of their engineering degree would be awarded an additional MBA degree from Northampton University without any extra time. The event was partnered by Universal Business School, Oxford in association with Pearson. The event saw a total turn-around of 50 dignitaries from various organizations. Prof. Ashwani Kumar, Administrator Academics and Mr. Subhrajit Nag, HOD (IT & MCA) from Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida attended the session as delegates. Seminar On Red Hat Linux Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology & MCA, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida, organized an interactive seminar on Red Hat Linux on 8th May, 2015. The objective of the workshop was to spread awareness of the different technologies, trainings and services that are offered by Red Hat and the diverse emerging role of Red Hat in the world of Information Technology.

Round Table Discussion on IANA Transition & ICANN Accountability Process And India s Position Round Table Discussion on IANA Transition & ICANN Accountability Process And India s Position was organized by Cyber Café Association of India s (CCAOI) at Silver Oak 1 Hall in India Habitat Centre, New Delhi on May 30th, 2015. The objective of the discussion was to share the salient points of study of India s options in the proposed IANA transition, initiate deliberation between all stakeholders on India s approach to the queries raised by CCWG Accountability group and discuss issues, in the IANA transition which are relevant to India but not receiving adequate attention. The discussion session was moderated by Dr. Govind, CEO NIXI and Dr. Mahesh Uppal, Director, Com First India and chaired by Dr. Ajay Kumar, Joint Secretary, Department of Electronics and Information Technology. Webinar on Women Rock IT A webinar on Women Rock IT was organized by CISCO on 5th February 2015 with the objective to glorify Cisco women who have challenged the stereotypes and have turned their passion for technology into rewarding and successful careers. The Women Rock IT webinar series was a quarterly event for girls and women who were potential IT students and professionals. The webinar was attended by the girls students of CSE, IT and ECE branches of Dronacharya Group of Institutions Greater Noida. National Android Apps Development Championship Final- Technoxian 2015 The final round of one of India s biggest National Level Android Apps Development Championship Technoxian 2015 was held during 17th - 19th April 2015 at IIT-Delhi Campus. All winners of the Technoxian zonal level round who achieved certificate of merit participated in this grand event. The objective of this event was to encourage the technologicallytalented students of our country to embed innovation into the world of mobile application development using Android environment. Around 80 teams from all over India participated in this championship. It was a matter of great pride and glory Ms. Rupinder Kaur, Mr. Navjot Singh, Ms. Rikankshi Joshi and Mr. Nikhil Singh of Information Technology and Computer Science & Engineering branch from Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida were the winners.

OTHER EVENTS INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY CELEBRATION 21st JUNE 2015 Organized by Government of India

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY CELEBRATION DGI NSS Wing Greater Noida participated in First International Yoga Day celebration on 21st June 2015 at Rajpath, New Delhi. Dr. S.K. Srivastava, Mrs. Bhanu Bhardwaj, Dr. Arindham Ghoshal, Mr. Abhishek Jha, Mr. Manjit Mishra, Mr. Anoop Kumar, Ms. Shailika Sharma, Mr. Dinesh Kumar, Mr. Anuj Verma, Mr. Amit Sharma and Dr. Anupam Kumar along with more than 150 DGI NSS Volunteers participated in the International Yoga Day. On June 21st 2015 (FINAL DAY) NSS Volunteer of DGI GREATER NOIDA along with faculty members reached Rajpath early in the morning at 3:30 AM. Over 35,000 people from across 84 nations gathered to perform 21 yoga asanas. Guinness Book of World Records acknowledged the event as the largest gathering of people practicing in a yoga event here.
