It gives me immense pleasure to know that KV No. 3 Srinagar is bringing out an E-Newsletter, for the academic year 2018-2019.I am sure this will showcase the impressive and outstanding achievements and activities in all spheres for the year. KVS is deeply committed to the holistic development of the personality of the students, taking care of their mind and body and moulding them into strong, responsible and reliable citizens of the nation. In fact newsletter gives opportunities to the students to express their views and show case the talent of budding artists. Assembly: (Value Based Assembly The Vidyalaya assembly works as a unifying force. Students feel the school as an organized group and every student realizes that he is part and parcel of the school community. Assembly works as a source of inspiration and its experiences widen and deepen students' interests. It works as a platform for propagation of commendable work. Outstanding performances and achievements of students in curricular and co-curricular fields get recognized before the entire school. Badges, certificates, cups etc. are awarded to the winners in the presence of entire school population. School assembly serves as a place for developing audience habits. Respects for others' feelings, courtesy towards speakers and guests, sensible applause at the proper time, appreciative attitude are some of the good audience habits that the students develop through school assembly.

Co-curricular Activities: For the skill development activities like debate, declamation, origami, model making, beading, quilling, rangoli etc. was organized class wise and children are encouraged with certificates and prizes

Celebrations: All important days are celebrated in the assembly. Special programmes are organized to give more information about the special days; this includes World Literacy Day, Heritage Day, World Book Day, Van Mahotsav Day, Children's Day Ramanujan's Day, and World Youth Day etc.

YOGA DAY The yoga day was celebrated in our school on 21st June 2018. In accordance with the celebration, we practised Yoga for half an hour instructed by our physical education teacher Mr. Man Mohan Singh Meena. TGT (PH&E) various postures of yoga were introduced to us and yoga was practiced throughout the week during the assembly we do Anuloma Viloma which is a yoga practice, Yoga is known to be introduced by Indians and we keep up this tradition by practicing Yoga every day. Whatever we do in life, Yoga shows you how to do it better

INTRA School Crossword Cryptic Contest (CCCC) 2018 Round 1 July 06, 2018 KN NO 3 Srinagar intra school cryptic crossword Contest (CCCC) 2018Round-1 was conducted. It was a brain storming exercise for the students. 19 students participated.

JIGYASA- PROJECT The Programme under JIGYASA- PROJECT was organized at KV NO.3 Srinagar on 29 th June 2018 related to science and its latest technology. The objective of the programme was to develop Scientific Temper, trigger curiosity, spirit of Research, and appreciation of science and bringing out the interest of students and with a focus on creating more awareness about science and technology. Among the students and to empower teachers. Senior Scientists from the Council Of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) visited the Vidyalaya. Our esteem guests tried to develop scientific thinking among the students they gave a motivational Speech on career counselling too. Annual function KV NO.3 Srinagar CELEBRATED Annual day on 5 th July 2018 amidst great zest, vibrancy and elation. DIG HEMANT KUMAR was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Many other dignitaries were also present Principals of kvs Sh. S.S.Duha, Sh Ramkumar Dhanak, Sh. Naresh Kant, CO s,dco s, Staff, Parents and students. The programme commenced with the lightning of the ceremony lamp by the Hon able Chief Guest escorted by the other dignitaries and the Principal. This entailed the bouquet presentation and pinning of badges. The Principal, MR KANWAR SINGH welcomed the guests and introduced the Hon able Chief Guest to the gathering. Many Cultural Programmes were performed by the Students the Chief Guest SHRI HEMANT KUMAR was superlative in his appreciation of the students, teachers and management for a classic program presented. Prizes were given to the meritorious pupils for their exemplary performance. Vote of Thanks was presented by Sh. Sanjay Kumar Uchania TGT-SKT

Surprise Penal Inspection On 6 th April, 2018 Sh. S.Sambanna DC,KVS,RO Jammu visited the Vidyalaya for surprise inspection.

Bharat Scouts & Guides Activities The scouts and guides unit carries forward the training given as cubs and bulbul s.this is arena to encourage students to take parts in social services activities and thereby give a boost to their selfconfidence.

COMMUNITY LUNCH Community lunch was organized on 10 April 2018 Tasty dishes were brought and shared among the children. It was an activity conducted under common minimum programme Teachers were also involved in this programme. Students enjoyed a lot. We should not teach children the sciences but give a taste for them

SPORTS ACTIVITIES The Brain and the Brawn are cared for!!!!! Physical activities are conducted regularly; sports events are organized. Every alternate week, Mass PT is organized after the assembly; this helps them to stay fit. All the students participate with their full sprit and enthusiasm manifesting their skills and talents

Represented Jammu Region in NSM 2018 for Nehru Gold Cup U-15 Hockey (Boys) at KV No. 1 Jalandhar Cantt. DRUGS AND TRAFFIC AWARENESS RALLY

ANNUAL ACADEMIC INSPECTION 2018-2019 Annual Academic Inspection of the Vidyalaya was conducted on 7 th June 2018. Shri DR Meena Assistant Commissioner KVS RO Jammu, Shri Krishan Singh Chauhan Principal KV Baramulla, Shri Bhushan Kumar,Principal KV Jammu, Shri K.K.Ghera, Principal KV Bandipura visited the Vidyalaya and conducted the said inspection.
