Cumberland County Assessment Calendar - Disclaimer: Test dates are subject to change based on adjustments mandated by the Tennessee Department of Education. Additional information related to state testing can be found at www. tn.gov/education/assessment. August - August- Continuous WIDA Screener for EL status This assessment is an English language proficiency "screener" test given to incoming students who may be designated as English language learners. It assists educators with programmatic placement decisions such as identification and placement of ELs. August- August- High School Discretion ASVAB The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) is an assessment designed to measure "developed abilities and helps predict future academic and occupational success in the military." This assessment is given to every 10th graders. ASVAB will distribute the results of this assessment to students and parents. August- August- High School Discretion Civics Exam Per Tennessee Code Annotated, students in high school will take the U.S. Civics Exam prior to graduation. This assessment is designed to both promote and document basic U.S. Citizenship knowledge and skills. The results of this returned to individual students. August August 13-24 Upper Cumberland Readiness Assessment This assessment is given to kindergarten stuedents twice a year to measure literacy and mathematical skills.

Cumberland County Assessment Calendar - August - September August 20 - September 7 PreK - 8 and 9-12 as STAR Screening 1 STAR Early Literacy assessment is a computer based test that measures your child's proficiency in up to nine domains that are important in reading development. STAR Reading is a computer-adaptive reading test that assess reading proficiency. STAR Math is a computer adaptive assessment that measures proficiency in mathematics. August - September August 29 - September 12 K-8 as EasyCBM Screening EasyCBM is a screening tool utilized for students who score below the 25th percentile on the STAR assessments to help determine which interventions will be used to assist the student and monitor progress. Your student's school Response To Intervention Coordinator will send the results of this assessment home upon completion of the assessment will not reflect in their grade marks. Cumberland County Assessment Calendar - January - March January 28- March 8 Schools and grades participating TBA NAEP The National Assessment of Educational Progress, or NAEP, is the largest nationally representative and continuing assessment of what America's students know and can do in various subject areas. Assessments are conducted periodically in mathematics, reading, science, writing, the arts, civics, economics, geography, U.S. history. Individual student results are not reported to families or districts. Scores are only reported to the Tennessee Department of Education. March - March 4-19 EL students WIDA ACCESS for Els The WIDA ACCESS for ELLs 2.0 is a secure large-scale English language proficiency assessment administered to through 12th grade students who have been identified as English language learners (ELs). It is given annually in WIDA Consortium member states to monitor students' progress in acquiring academic English. sent home when results are received from WIDA. March March 14-15 High Schools Mid-Terms provide a mid-term snapshot on how student are progressing in full term courses. March - March 18-10 Grades 3-11 MSAA The Multi-State Alternative Assessment (MSAA) applies the lessons learned from the past decade of research on alternate assessments based on alternate achievement standards (AA- AAS) to develop a multi-state comprehensive assessment system for students with significant cognitive disabilities. Parents will receive a collective TCAP report that includes the results from each part of this assessment. March - March 18-10 Grade 2 ALT Questar 2nd Grade Assessment-ALT This alternate assessment is designed for our 2nd grade students with the most significant cognitive disabilities. This assessment does not reflect on your child's report card.
