MATHS WEEK PARENT QUIZ We have had lots of entries so far but just to remind you it s not too late to get get your maths brains working. The closing date is Monday 3 rd July good luck! Maths Week There has been lots of exciting maths activities going on in school this week. Children have been challenged to build the tallest structures possible within a given budget - we have seen some amazing teamwork and definitely have a few architects in the making! We have also approached maths through lots of fun but challenging games and tasks we have all had a great week! By Mrs Salter Winning team at The Weald Sensational Structures! The winning team that will be going to the Weald this afternoon are: Kian A, Charlie C, Luke W and Rafe B. They might even win against all the others schools in the locality! Results out next week! Good luck to them! Tri Golf This week, Year 3 and 4 competed in a Golf tournament at the K2 Sports Centre. Sarah E, Ryan M, Charlie C, Harry G, Dylan P, Lillie A, Hannah A and Bea K. We came 9 th which isn t so bad, we didn t get a Bronze, Silver or Gold medal but we were fine with that and had a great time. There were over 1000 children competing in different sports at the Sussex Games Finals. Every school got a certificate and there were some really fun activities to do after we had finished the golf tournament. By Ryan Merritt.

Please return replies to the school office /post box outside the front door by Monday 3 rd July. Thank you. Mini bus driver As you know the costs of trips out of school seems to be forever increasing espcially the cost of coach hire. Where possible we would like to use the minibuses to keep our costs down and therefore are asking if anyone would like to apply to become a registered mini bus driver for us. Mini bus drivers are required to take a short test of about 45 minutes. If you are interested or know someone who is, please contact the school office. Safety Crossing Officer We are desperately looking for somone to be our safety crossing officer. They will be needed for 45 minutes every morning and afternoon, (1.5 hrs /day) 5 days a week term time only. This is a paid post. For further details please contact Mrs Sayers in the office. Governors/Parents Spruce up morning Saturday 22 nd July On Saturday 22 nd July we would like to invite parents and carers in to school to help spruce up some of our outside areas. We need about 20 people to help regenerate some parts of the school. The jobs may include painting fences, benches, painting coat peg hook panels, weeding and a general tidy up. If you think you can help on this morning - there will be a BBQ hosted by the Governors for your endeavours at the end of the morning then please the office know and we will put your name down.
