SPORT for ALL

We have nearly 440 boys in the junior school so sport is bound to be important here. Our objective is to give the boys the opportunity to play a wide range of sports, learn a variety of skills and understand that you must be gracious in both victory and defeat.we take considerable pride in the boys achievements but participation is more important than winning. I am delighted that all of our boys play matches for the school and that we are able to provide them with excellent teaching and very good facilities. I hope that this brochure gives you a sense of the value we attach to sport at KCJS and I look forward to meeting you in the very near future. Our new multi-function sports and swimming complex is due to be finished in summer 2019. It will exist alongside the current sports hall on the main site, providing a second six-court sports hall. There will also be a six-lane, 25m swimming pool, aerobic areas, a strength and conditioning room, a large studio, changing rooms for 180 students and the re-location of tennis courts and cricket nets. 6 court SPORTS HALL

In 2011, the new sports pavilion at Kingsway was officially opened by Michael Atherton OBE. The 2.4 million project comprises changing, conference and hospitality facilities and is regarded as one of the finest on the schools circuit. 2.4 million PAVILION The rich programme of sports and team games both enables the talented to attain excellence and allows the less impassioned to sample a wider variety of less common sports such as rowing and table-tennis.
