It is Mandatory for all students to apply for Financial Aid. You cannot receive athletic or academic scholarships without applying for aid, regardless of income. Beginning October 1 st you can apply for Financial Aid. FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) Go to www.fafsa.ed.gov You and one parent/guardian will need FAFSA ID https://fsaid.ed.gov or there is a link on the FAFSA site. This serves as your electronic signature.
DO NOT GO TO FAFSA.COM to complete your financial aid application. It is a site that charges $50 or more. Never pay a fee for a program that guarantees they will find you scholarship money, etc. IT IS A SCAM. Many companies offer to help you apply for Financial Aid and scholarships. These companies charge. We, the staff at Stockdale, can help you for NO charge. Cal Grant and the FAFSA are due by MARCH 2 nd. No exceptions. The school takes care of the CAL GRANT verification process for you. Scholarships will be available in the Resource Center. A monthly scholarship scoop will be available beginning in October. Watch the scoop and don t miss deadlines. Ask for your letters of recommendation early. Teachers/counselors need ample time to prepare a letter for you.
