Can we please confirm that the Year 6 Taster Day is on Friday 30th June 2017. Reminder Please note that, as from Monday 8th May 2017 we are no longer allowed to accept the paper 5 notes in school as they will cease to be legal tender. School dinners A reminder that all school meals must be paid for in advance, 2.20 per day. Payments should be handed into the school office, clearly marked with your child s name, class and amount enclosed. Cheques are to be made payable to Lancashire County Council. Please ensure your account is in credit at all times. Sacramental Programme 2017/18 If there are any children in Years 3 to 6 who have not yet completed the Sacramental Programme, including First Confession and First Holy Communion, and would like to take part, please complete the form at the end of this Newsletter and return it to school before 15th July 2017. PTA Summer Fair Our Lady & St Gerard s Summer Fair Come and join us by the seaside! Friday 23 rd June 3.15 6.00pm We would be very grateful for any donations parents or carers are able to source that could be included in a raffle or auction. Local Business sponsors will be promoted in our school communications. Donations gratefully received to date from; Fired 4 Jo Jo Bows/Fidget Spinners Following some incidents with hair bows in school, a decision has been made that no large hair accessories should be worn in school. Hair accessories should be kept to school colours, clips, alice bands and small bobbles. No toys, including Fidget Spinners should be brought into school. Nut Allergies As we have a number of children in school who are allergic to nuts, we strongly recommend that no nuts or nut products are brought into school. Dog Fouling It has been reported that dogs have been fouling in the area between Church and school. Could we remind parents to pick up any mess left by their dogs.
