1 Southern EXPOSURE BOCA RATON, FLORIDA MARCH 31 - APRIL 2, 2016

2 WELCOME Welcome to the 2016 Women s Leadership Conference. I want to thank you for taking time out of your busy schedules, away from your farms and businesses, to celebrate agriculture and the hard work that we put forth as grassroots leaders. The friendships made at conferences such as this will help you build a network of contacts all across the state which will last a lifetime. I hope that you are ready to learn about some valuable tools which you can apply to your daily lives, businesses and county Farm Bureaus. Over the next few days you will have the opportunity to share ideas, discuss frustrations and laugh as often as you get the chance. I encourage you to engage yourselves with the workshops, presenters and the speakers in order to obtain those ideas and strategies that apply to your daily lives. Each of you, in one way or another, is involved in putting food on tables all across this country. Without you, who would provide America with the food and fiber that it needs? It is easy to be negative about the government, the poor economy, the rise in production costs and environmental issues; however, I would like to challenge you to look for the positives in life! We are all extremely fortunate to be associated with an organization like Farm Bureau. Whether on the county, state or national level, Farm Bureau does more for American farmers and ranchers than any other organization because of its grassroots leadership and direction. I thank you all again for being involved in this year s conference. I hope you enjoy the Southern Exposure that we have put together for you this year! Now is the time for us to get out and educate, advocate and participate in things to help promote our great organization and industry! Sincerely, Sarah Carte, Chair Florida Farm Bureau Women s Leadership Committee 2
