1 St Ann s Church of England Primary School Always our best for God, each other and ourselves. Value of the Half Term Peace Newsletter Issue 9 Week ending Friday 10 th November Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace and pursue it. Psalm 34:14 On Tuesday this week, we had a visit from The Book People Bus! Every class had the opportunity to go on during the day, and we were thrilled to see queues of children waiting to go on with parents after school. As the event was such a success, the school will now receive some credit to spend on books for the children! We hope all who purchased enjoy their new books - look out for the return of the bus in 2018!

Mrs Eccles Next week we say goodbye to Mrs Eccles as she leaves our school to start a completely different career in retail. We would like to thank Mrs Eccles for the magnificent work that she has done at our school over the past 14 years. She has helped us to raise standards across the school and her work with the co-ordination of the school choir has been excellent. Performance Opportunities At St. Ann s we are passionate about children having the opportunity to show case their talents. To that end children are invited to perform during our Wednesday s Worship and Recital assembly. If your child would like to perform, please complete the reply slip below and return to the school office. Children wishing to perform will have their name placed on a waiting list and nearer the date of their performance they will receive an invitation. If your child requires anything for their performance (e.g. instrument, sheet music, cd, prop), they should remember to bring this with them. Occasionally it is necessary to cancel whole school worship due to unforeseen circumstance, when this happens if it is your child's turn to perform, the date of their performance will be re-arranged.
