4 BRIEF HISTORY of Viadrina : First public university of the principality of Brandenburg (Alma Mater Viadrina) 1945: Potsdam Treaty declared post-war border, dividing Frankfurt/Oder into Polish Słubice and Frankfurt/Oder (then part of communist GDR) 1991: Foundation of the European-University Viadrina 1998: Inauguration of the Collegium Polonicum in Słubice 2005: Poland became part of Schengen no border control between FF/O and Słubice

15 COST AND FEES Viadrina has no tuition fees Administration Costs: approx. 200 Semesterticket for public transport included! valid for 6 months (trains and busses) includes the Brandenburg area and Berlin Student Housing per month in Frankfurt/O for shared apartment in Berlin 350 Złoty (about 100 ) per month in Słubice/Poland Low Cost of Living in FFO (approx. 600 EUR/ month)
