2 FAQS 2017 COATES HIRE NEWCASTLE 500 WHAT IS ACCREDITATION? Accreditation is the term used for the wristbands and passes issued to residents and businesses within the Coates Hire Newcastle 500 event precinct for them to gain access to their premises during the event. WHAT IS THE EVENT PRECINCT? The event precinct refers to the area located within the gated fences, please refer to the attached map. Newcastle Ocean Baths, Nobbys Beach and Newcastle Beach will remain open to the public. Supercars Australia will erect temporary pedestrian bridges to provide access to key sites WHEN DO I NEED ACCREDITATION? From 12:01am on Friday 24 November to 7:00pm on Sunday 26 November 2017, the Coates Hire Newcastle 500 precinct will be secured and entry will be via accreditation or a valid event ticket only (Ticketek, Corporate Pass etc.). It is very important that you carry your accreditation with you at all times, as it will be necessary to show this to security in order to re-enter the precinct. WHO CAN APPLY FOR ACCREDITATION? Any businesses located within the event precinct can apply for accreditation. We ask that you assign one point of contact from your business to lodge your accreditation application.

3 ARE THERE DIFFERENT TYPES OF ACCREDITATION FOR BUSINESSES? Accreditation will be required for anyone who needs access to your business during the event dates (24-26 November 2017) as such there are several different passes that can be requested: STAFF PASSES These passes are for any staff members that require access to the race precinct in a working capacity within race hours (7:00am 7:00pm). VISITOR PASSES These passes are for your clients that have scheduled appointments and require access to the race precinct within race hours (7:00am 7:00pm). Example: doctor appointments, hairdressers appointments, etc. AFTER HOURS PASSES These passes are for any service providers that require access to the race precinct outside of race hours (7:00pm 7:00am). Example: delivery agents, maintenance services, security etc. * Please note that Visitor Passes will only be issued to patrons with scheduled appointments - this does not include hotel guests or those visiting food outlets, retail outlets, private functions or events (these patrons will need to purchase appropriate ticketing). 4 FAQS 2017 COATES HIRE NEWCASTLE 500 WHAT IF I NEED A PRODUCT DELIVERY? Delivery vehicles will be able to access the event precinct outside of race hours (7:00pm 7:00am) with the correct accreditation. If you are expecting deliveries, please ensure you apply for After Hours Passes for each supplier and distribute them accordingly. WHAT IF I HAVE A CLIENT BOOKED IN FOR AN APPOINTMENT DURING RACE HOURS? All clients and patients will require an accreditation pass to get into the race precinct. You can apply for these passes during your application for accreditation and distribute them accordingly. Please ensure your clients have their passes prior to entering the gates. WHAT IF I NEED AN EMERGENCY TRADES PERSON DURING THE EVENT? If you need an emergency repair at your premises during the event (plumber, electrician etc.), we ask that you call the Supercars Community number ( ) to advise us of which trades person will require access and then we will arrange an Emergency Drop In Pass that the trades person can collect from the Accreditation Centre.

5 WHEN DO APPLICATIONS FOR BUSINESS ACCREDITATION OPEN AND CLOSE? The application for accreditation will be an online process. Applications are now OPEN and will remain open until the event begins Friday 24 November Please refer to How do I apply for accreditation? in this document for further information on this process. * Please note that if you apply after the Accreditation Centre opens (Wednesday 8 November 2017), you will need to allow 24 hours for your application to be processed until you can collect your accreditation. Location and operating hours are outlined later in this document. WHAT ABOUT VEHICLE ACCESS? There will be heavy restrictions on parking and vehicular access to the race precinct during the event period (24 26 November 2017). If your business has allocated off-street parking space, this will be maintained however, your vehicle will need to be parked by 7:00am and will not be able to move until the gates re-open at 7:00pm. Once the gates to the precinct re-open at 7:00pm each evening, vehicle access will be restricted to those with a Supercars issued Vehicle Access Pass. You will be able to apply for one of these passes during the accreditation application and will allow movement throughout the precinct during the hours of 7:00pm 7:00am. We encourage you to speak with your staff about allowing sufficient travel time and about ulitlising public transport and car pooling. BUSINESS ACCREDITATION INFORMATION

6 FAQS 2017 COATES HIRE NEWCASTLE 500 HOW DO I APPLY FOR ACCREDITATION? An application for accreditation is an online process and is now OPEN. Please see the link below to apply. After completing your online application an automatic will be generated advising that your application has been received by the Supercars Accreditation Department; this does not guarantee that accreditation will be issued. Your application will be reviewed and accreditation will be issued providing it meets the guidelines. In the case that your application has been rejected or requires further information, you will be notified by the Supercars Accreditation Team. Paper applications will also be available for those who do not have internet access. If you require assistance or would like a paper application, please contact Supercars on ARE ALL APPLICATIONS VERIFIED? The Supercars Accreditation Department will verify all business applications and reserves the right to refuse any application that cannot be substantiated. Action will be taken in any proven case of persons fraudulently applying for business accreditation.

7 HOW DO I COLLECT MY ACCREDITATION? Your accreditation will be available for collection from the Accreditation Centre from Wednesday 8 November Accreditation Centre location and opening hours are listed in the next section. Accreditation can only be collected by the point of contact listed on the application form unless it has been pre-arranged with the accreditation team prior to collection. Photo ID (e.g. driver s license or passport) must be shown when collecting from the Accreditation Centre. Accreditation is offered in good faith and under no circumstances can be offered for sale or transferred. People found in possession of resident accreditation obtained from an unauthorized source, or a stolen or counterfeit pass, will be prosecuted and the pass will be cancelled immediately. DOES MY ACCREDITATION ALLOW ME ACCESS INTO THE CONCERT? No, your resident accreditation does not include access to the concert. BUSINESS ACCREDITATION INFORMATION

The Accreditation Centre will be a temporary structure located adjacent to Harry s Café de Wheels at 199 Wharf Road, Newcastle.
