About Us At Social Thinking we teach people how to use their social smarts to interpret information and communicate more effectively. At our conference we will share strategies for teaching social problem solving, social skills, as well as reading comprehension and written expression that can be used immediately in the classroom, home, and community. Social Thinking lessons connect social learning to the Common Core / State Standards, and provide strategies for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), Response to Intervention (RTI), Social Emotional Learning (SEL)... and much more. Who We Help We offer award-winning products and conferences designed to help persons with solid to gifted language and learning skills ages 4 years through adulthood, regardless of their diagnostic label. Our strategies help parents and professionals teach social information to students with: Asperger s, ASD Levels 1 and 2, Social Communication Disorder, PDD-NOS, ADHD, NVLD, Mixed Receptive-Expressive Language Disorder, twice exceptional, social anxiety, head injury, etc. as well as those with no diagnosis at all. Michelle Garcia Winner MA, CCC-SLP, is the founder of Social Thinking and specializes in the treatment of individuals with social cognitive learning challenges. We will also give tips on writing solid IEP goals, developing rubrics for data collection, brainstorming lesson development and embedding related treatment strategies.
