2 INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL SPORT FEDERATION MINISTERO DELLA ISTRUZIONE, UNIVERSITA E RICERCA FEDERAZIONE ITALIANA PALLAVOLO ISF BEACH VOLLEYBALL WORLD SCHOOLS CHAMPIONSHIP 26/05 02/06/2013 MANFREDONIA - ITALY BULLETIN 2 We have pleasure in sending you Bulletin 2 for the ISF World Schools Championship Beach Volleyball 2013 which will take place under the aegis of the ISF in Manfredonia Italy from 26/05/2013 till 02/06/2013. The championship is organised according to International School Sport Federation competition rules and with the support of the Ministero della Istruzione, Università e Ricerca and the Federazione Italiana Pallavolo. This bulletin contains further information to that published in Bulletin 1. The following countries have indicated an interest in taking part in this event : Boys school teams : Brazil, China, France, Germany, Italy, Puerto Rico Girls school teams : Brazil, China, France, Germany, Italy, Puerto Rico Boys selected teams: Brazil, China, Italy, Puerto Rico Girls selected teams: Brazil, China, Italy, Liechtenstein, Puerto Rico, Slovenia If you have not yet paid the deposit, please do so by return of post! 3 1. Composition of teams and conditions of entry. (see also bulletin 1 which you can find on the ISF website School teams must provide a document certifying that each player of the team is enrolled at that school from the beginning of the school year. Students of selected teams must provide a document certifying that they are enrolled in a school in the country which they represent from the beginning of the school year A full delegation will comprise 21 persons (and eventually 2 additional persons) Before the start of the Competition each delegation shall present to the Control Commission: - payment of the balance owing or proof that this has been paid, - for each participant, a passport or official identity card bearing photo, surname, forename, date of birth and nationality, - the document certifying that each student of the school team is normally registered at that school from the beginning of the school year and that each student of a selected team is enrolled in a school in the country which they represent from the beginning of the school year. 2. Dates Delegations are to arrive on 26 May Delegations are to depart after breakfast on 02 June When the distance between Manfredonia (Italy) and the capital of a participating country on another continent exceeds 5000 kilometres the delegation may extend their stay by arriving one day earlier or leaving one day later The organisation of an extended stay for the delegation (before or after the event) is a matter for the country concerned. It shall not be the responsibility of the OC The organiser will be able to give you information on alternative accommodation in the area for your use outside the period of the World Championship and for those accompanying the delegation. 3. Board, Lodging and Services Students will be accommodated in 2 to 4 bedded rooms. The Heads of Delegation and the ISF Observer will be accommodated in single rooms. Coaches/teachers and referees will be accommodated in twin bedded rooms Meals will be taken at the hotels and near the place of the competitions. Arrival day : lunch and/or dinner (according to arrival time) Other days : breakfast lunch dinner. Departure day : breakfast lunch or packed meal (according to departure time and to meals on arrival day) A medical service will be available throughout the duration of the Championship. 3

4 4. General rules. These rules will apply to all teams and participants and will remain fixed for the duration of this World Schools Championship The Organising Committee will be responsible for the running and control of the World Schools Championship The World Schools Championship is organised according to ISF rules and to current FIVB rules The Organising Committee will nominate a Control Commission, a Disciplinary Commission and an Appeal Jury. Their responsibilities will be specified in Bulletin Technical Rules. See Bulletin 1 6. Note concerning Bulletin The link to the definitive electronic entry form will be sent to participating countries in good time. On this form you will be required to give the following information : a. name of country b. name of the organisation responsible for school sport c. name of head of delegation d. names of teachers / coaches e. names of students f. dates of birth of students g. names of boys and girls school teams schools h. names of referees (optional) i. names of additional persons j. precise information on travel times k. particular dietary requirements l. special requests m. passport photos Please have this information available one month before the start of the event The 3 rd Bulletin will give you further information about the social-cultural programme, the definitive event programme and the composition of the Control Commission, the Disciplinary Commission and the Appeal Jury. 7. Visa information. Please check if your country needs visa to enter Italy. 4

5 8. Registration. The electronic entry registration form 2 should be duly completed on behalf of the organisation responsible for school sport and returned to the General Secretariat at the latest by 1 st March If you have not yet paid the deposit, you must do so by return.
