10 Time Allocation Notes: Literacy consists of Reading, Writing and Word Study Time does not necessarily represent consecutive minutes of study in a given subject. Science/Social Studies Clarifications: a. These two subjects are to be given equal weight in terms of time allocation throughout the year. b. Each trimester will include one unit of Social Studies and one unit of Science. c. 40 minutes daily; 4 days/week
