1 Pupil Premium Mission Statement (This is a live document and will be updated regularly Updated:04 July 2017) Vision Grow Thrive - Achieve Education Campus is a fun and exciting place to be set at the heart if its community. Innovative teaching facilitates effective learning and leads to outstanding outcomes. A proud, motivated and committed team contribute to the success and development of aspiring, well rounded, lifelong learners. Students, staff and the school grow together as a leading educational establishment. We promise to develop students who: Inspire each other to achieve and experience great things. Are confident enough to be individually resilient and collectively interdependent. Have a sense of self-worth and are respectful and open to the world around them. Enjoy life and want to explore it by experiencing new things. We believe that every student should regularly enjoy a range of experiences and opportunities. And that 10 things every student should do before they leave are: 1. represent the school; 2. visit an art gallery, museum, see a show at a theatre or an event at a world class sporting venue; 3. be politically engaged; 4. present or perform to an audience of peers such as in an assembly; 5. engage in a wide variety of sporting and leisure activities including having completed an adventurous hike and engaged with the local surroundings; 6. complete meaningful work experience with a local employer; 7. volunteer for a charity - giving time, raising awareness or fundraising; 8. work with a local bank and be aware of financial products and money issues; 9. communicate with students in another school in a different part of the world and find shared ideas about their school life; 10. read widely to broaden their knowledge of literature and the world, to include a broadsheet newspaper, a journal/piece of academic literature, a Shakespeare text and a novel. This document explains how we spend our Pupil Premium funding to make our Vision a reality for all young people.

2 Pupil Premium nationally Pupil Premium is additional funding given to schools to support their disadvantaged students and help close the attainment gap between them and their peers. You can find out more about the Government rationale behind the funding by visiting: The Pupil Premium provides funding for students: Who have been in receipt of FSM (Free School Meals) at any point in the last 6 years. Who have been continuously looked after for at least the last 6 months Who are from families where one or more parents are currently in the British armed forces of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Performance tables will capture the achievement of disadvantaged students covered by the Pupil Premium funding. Pupil Premium key objectives Education has 5 key objectives for Pupil Premium students: To raise the Literacy standards of Pupil Premium students, bringing them in line with the national average. To raise the aspirations and ambitions of Pupil Premium students. To improve the levels of participation in extra-curricular activities for Pupil Premium students. To ensure all Pupil Premium students can access the technology needed for effective learning and the completion of homework. To ensure that our most able Pupil Premium students and their families have access to the appropriate resources to extend their learning and work above age related expectations nationally.
