Jacob as an Innovator & Entrepreneur App Inventors Course Dashboard Screenshots LoveMySchool (LMS) is a cloud-based software-as-a-service solution designed to foster the creation of collaborative communities of practice for educators and learners alike. LMS was developed by a team of young entrepreneurs and was most recently launched globally. Yes, LMS is FREE for schools, teachers, students and parents! I am now using LMS for my Grade 10 Entrepreneurial App Inventors class. Topics posted so far include NABC, Design Cycle, Design Thinking, Design Thinking Process, Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Product Analysis and more. As a member of the core LMS (R&D) team my primary goal and purpose for participating in this project was to share my experiences through the achievements, challenges and the processes involved in the development of a cloud-based platform with students as a way to model the attitudes and dispositions I expect from them as entrepreneurs, innovators and inventors. Most importantly, to demonstrate a can do attitude and a willingness to take measured and thoughtful risks with the hope of convincing students they can do it too! In a nutshell, I want to walk the talk and not just provide the theory but inspire them through actions based on practical ideas, tips, techniques, insights and new learning to build capacity for future readiness. My new mantra is Learn to Do and Do to learn. LMS comes with accompanying free Android and ios apps for enhanced and timely communications between students, parents and teachers using the school and class community walls. As a result, all stakeholders can be kept informed on a real-time basis. A highlight of LMS is the student project section where students upload and collaborate on projects. In addition, LMS includes simple and easy to use methods to collect immediate formative feedback from students through a single click inspired by the social media LIKEs feature.
