5 New Magnet Magnet Theme: Sprouting STEM Federal Magnet Schools Assistance Program Grant Description: The STEM Museum model provides an interactive learning environment that expands beyond the classroom walls to museums, community and the world. The integration of the Museum model in STEM curriculums will offer students the opportunity to explore experiment, explain and exhibit research through engaging real world projects. Students use engineering practices to create, build, and design solutions as they discover academics in a new enriching manner. Focus: } Increase Enrollment Attract back in-boundary students while offering the program to out-of-boundary students } Increase Student Achievement In reading and math while encourage science instruction using Engineering is Elementary curriculum. } Expand Student Learning Opportunities - new technology, STEM/Museum partnerships, and hands-on activities and field experiences.
