2 president s message Welcome to the 2011 Midwest Podiatry Conference! Whether this is your first time attending the conference or you ve been coming for 30 years, you will find this year s conference an exceptional experience and an incredible value. The Conference has always strived to provide an educational experience second to none. This experience extends not only to podiatrists but to podiatric assistants and other staff. The assistants program continues to be an important part of the Conference and is a tremendous opportunity for any practitioners who bring staff members to this meeting. Recently, the Board Review Course offered during the Conference has grown to become a popular and valued part of the Conference. Podiatrists taking the Boards for the first time, getting ready for recertification, or just wanting to review a particular topic, all agree that this course provides the necessary information in a well-organized, concise format. The large exhibit hall is another important aspect of the Conference. This hall provides one of the biggest venues for doctors and assistants to see the latest technology and innovations that affect the profession. There is also ample time for one on one discussions with vendors to answer any questions you may have regarding products and services that will benefit your practice. 4 general information cont. acknowledgements Extra Fees Spouse & Guest Registration A $5 exhibit hall only badge may be purchased at on-site registration for a spouse, significant other, or child of a registered attendee. Doctors and office staff are not eligible to register at the spouse and guest rate, they must register at the appropriate doctor/assistant conference registration fee. Due to liability issues such as the possibility of injury from surgical equipment, we strongly discourage attendees from bringing children under the age of 16 into the exhibit hall. At no time are children, spouses or guest registrants allowed in workshop settings. Returned Checks A $35 service fee will be assessed for any returned checks. Lost Badges There is a $5 replacement fee for a lost badge.
