1 Institute and Master Program Quotas of Master Degree Quotas of PhD Condition Yearly Fee Institute of Natural and Applied Sciences Archeometry 2 Horticulture Master: Those who have not graduated from one of the departments of Plant Protection, Agricultural Engineering and Plant Production must attend the Scientific Foundation Program and the students must acquire at least 30 ECTS credits from undergraduate courses. (See Çukurova University Rules and Regulations Governing Graduate Studies Article 6) Computer Engineering (English) Plant Protection PhD: Those who have graduated from the Master Degree of Horticulture Department can apply. Master (Thesis): Should be a graduate of one of the departments of Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, ElectricElectronic Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, System Engineering, Control Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or Information System Engineering, Mathematics Engineering, Physics, Physics Engineering or MathematicsComputer. PhD: Should have bachelor of master degree diploma of one of the departments of Computer Engineering, Computer Sciences and Software Engineering. 3 Master and PhD: Those who have not graduated from one of the departments of Plant Production, Plant Protection of Agricultural Engineering or Plant Protection must attend the Scientific Foundation Program for a year. Biology 4 Master and PhD: Those who have graduated from one of the departments of Biology, Molecular Biology and Genetics from the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Science and Letters can apply. Those who have not graduated from the departments mentioned above must attend the Scientific Foundation Program for a year. Biotechnology Environmental Engineering ElectricElectronic Engineering (English) 2 2 Master (Thesis): Those who have graduated from the departments of Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Biology, Chemistry and Chemistry Engineering can apply. PhD: Those who have the bachelor degree from one of the departments of Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, Chemistry Engineering and as well as master degree diploma from the department of Environmental Engineering can apply. Those who wish to apply to PhD with a bachelor degree diploma must have bachelor degree diploma from the department of Environmental Engineering. 2 6 Masters with Thesis and PhD: Those who have graduated from one of the engineering departments of Electric Electronic, Electrics, Electronics, Control, Computer, Communication, Telecommunication, Biomedical, Automotive, Mechanical, Physics (for the department of electromagnetic field and microwave technology, the departments of Mathematics, Physics are added besides the departments mentioned above) can apply.

2 Industrial Engineering PhD: To have bachelor degree diploma of Industrial Engineering or System Engineering. Physics Master: Those who have bachelor degree diploma of one of the departments of Physics, Physics Engineering, Physics Teaching, Astronomy, Statistics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electric and Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Faculty of Education and Science Teaching can apply. Food Engineering PhD: For the applicants who will apply PhD directly after finishing bachelor degree or PhD after master degree, they must have master degree or bachelor degree diploma of one of the departments of Physics, Physics Engineering, Physics Teaching, Astronomy, Statistics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electric and Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Science Teaching from Faculty of Education. 4 4 Master: Those who have graduated from the department of Food Engineering, Milk Technology, Chemistry Engineering, Bioengineering, Molecular Biology and Genetics, Chemistry and Biology of the related Faculties and Advanced Technology Institutes, department of nutrition and dietetics of Health Sciences Faculty and Colleges, any department of the Faculty of Agriculture, Fisheries, Environmental Engineering, Pharmacy, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Faculty of Veterinary can apply. Scientific Foundation Program is compulsory for the students excepting those who have graduated from the Department of Food Engineering. (See Çukurova University Rules and Regulations Governing Graduate Studies Article 6) PhD: Those who have bachelor degree diploma of the department of Food Engineering can apply. Civil Engineering 4 Statistics 7 6 Master: The applicants who will apply to Master degree program must have bachelor degree diploma of the department of Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, Industrial Engineering, Electric and/or Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering. Geological Engineering For master degree, Scientific Foundation Program is compulsory for the applicants excepting those who have graduated from the Department of Statistics. (See Çukurova University Rules and Regulations Governing Graduate Studies Article 6) PhD: Applicants who will apply to master degree program or PhD program directly after finishing bachelor degree must have master degree or bachelor degree diploma from the department of Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Biostatistics, Econometrics or Industrial Engineering, Electric and/or Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering. For the applicants who do not have bachelor or master degree diploma of the department of Statistics, Scientific Foundation Program is compulsory. PhD: Should have master degree diploma of Geological Engineering. Chemistry 3 3 Master: Those who have graduated from the bachelor

3 degree program of Chemistry, Chemistry Engineering, Chemistry Teaching, Pharmacy and Biochemistry can apply. Those who have graduated from the department of Physics Engineering, Physics, Biology, Environmental Engineering, Food Engineering and Textile Engineering have to take bachelor courses regarding their study of field besides compulsory courses. PhD: Those who have master degree diploma of Chemistry, Chemistry Engineering, Chemistry Teaching, Pharmacy and Biochemistry can apply. Mining Engineering 2 2 Mechanical Engineering (English) Master: Should be a graduate of one of the departments of Mechanical, Automotive, Aircraft, Aviation, Mechatronics, Computer, Electrical & Electronics, Textiles, Industrial and Civil Engineering. PhD: Should have an MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Engineering. Mathematics Automotive Engineering Landscape Architecture 2 Fishery and Fish Processing Technology Fishery Basic Sciences Fishery Cultivation Agricultural Economics 2 3 Master: Should have graduated from one of the departments of Fishery Technologies and Engineering of Faculty of Aquaculture and Marina Sciences, Fishery, Plant Protection, Food Engineering, Soil, Zootechnics, Biology, Chemistry and Environmental Engineering. PhD: Should have bachelor or master degree diploma of one of the departments of Fisheries, Fisheries Basic Sciences, Cultivation, Fishery and Processing Technology and Fishery Technology Engineering. Scientific Foundation Program shall be applied to graduates of departments other than the departments mentioned above for a year. Agricultural Machinery 2 2

4 Agricultural Structures and Irrigation 2 2. For Master and PhD programs in the Department of Agricultural Structures and Irrigation: graduates of departments of Agricultural Structures and Irrigation, Soil, Agricultural Machinery can apply. 2. For Master Program other than graduates of Agricultural Structures and Irrigation: Graduates of departments of Faculty of Agriculture other than those specified above; Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Surveying Engineering, Geology Engineering, Meteorology Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology graduates, and Computer Engineering, Forest Engineering, Statistics, Faculty of Technical Education, Hydrogeology can apply. 3. Master: Scientific Foundation Program shall be applied to graduates of other programs. 4. In order to apply to PhD program in the Department of Agricultural Structures and Irrigation it is necessary to have a MSc Degree in Agricultural Structures and Irrigation; also holders of MSc degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Surveying Engineering, Meteorology Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Forest Engineering, Statistics, Hydrogeology can also apply to PhD program in the department of Agricultural Structures and Irrigation. Field Crops 2 2 Soil Science and Plant Nutrition 2 2 Master: Graduates of Department of Soil or Soil Sub Program can apply. Scientific Foundation Program shall be applied to graduates of other Departments/Programs in Agricultural Engineering or graduates of Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Geology, Geodesy and Photogrammetry, Mapping, Computer Programming, Environmental Engineering, Forest Engineering. PhD: Applicants to PhD. Program in the Department of Soil; should be graduate of Department of Soil or Soil Sub Program. Scientific Foundation Program shall be applied to graduates of other Departments/Programs in Agricultural Engineering or graduates of Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Geology, Geodesy and Photogrammetry, Mapping, Computer Programming, Environmental Engineering, Forest Engineering (For those not subject to Scientific Foundation during Master's Degree) Remote Sensing and Geographical Information Systems Zootechnics 7 6 Master: Graduates of Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Sciences, Department of Biology and Genetics in the Faculty of Science can apply. PhD: Holders of MSc degree in Departments of Zootechnics, Biotechnology, Mathematics and Statistics or graduates of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine can apply. Management and Organization Banking and Stock Exchange (Non Thesis) (Evening Economics Political Economy of the Middle East (Thesis) (Master in English) Economics Economy (Thesis) (Evening 0 Should have graduated from a 4year Faculty or College. Scientific Foundation Program shall be applied to the applicants for a semester who have graduated from any department other than the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences or the equivalent faculty/college. Economics Economy (NonThesis Evening Should have graduated from a 4year Faculty or College. 400 TL Economics Foreign Trade and Foreign Exchange ( Non Thesis Evening Economy of European Union (Evening Should have graduated from a 4year Faculty or College. 400 TL Philosophy Group Education Art Teaching Education English Language Teaching 3 3 Should be a graduate of one of the departments of Philosophy Group, Psychology, Philosophy, and Sociology or do a minor or a double major in these programs and have graduated from a 4year Faculty. (Scientific Foundation Program shall be applied to graduates of other programs.) German Language 2 2
