ETC specifies a maximum class size of 14. However, where classrooms permit and are suitably equipped, lit, heated and ventilated, we reserve the right to use these rooms to their maximum capacity. No classes will exceed 18 students. Classes may be in the mornings or the afternoons during busy periods. 3 Combination Courses Students studying 24 weeks on our combination courses will receive a Diploma in the specific subject. For all combination courses, students must be over the age of 18 and have an intermediate level of English. Students must have a course book in order to enter class. Students studying for 3 weeks or less may borrow books for a small charge. Students studying for 4 weeks or more must buy their books. Books cost approximately 50 for standard courses and 70 for intensive courses. Books are available at the ETC Library. Please note that students following a Standard General English course (20 lessons per week) may have morning or afternoon lessons. Classes are normally run in the mornings from 8:45am to 12.15pm, but we cannot guarantee this timetable. During the busy times, students may have lessons in the afternoons. Students who require a student visa must complete at least 15 hours of study per week (i.e. 20 lessons per week). You can start on any Monday. We would recommend starting at the beginning of the term if you are beginner or following an Exam Preparation course. You can see the term dates on page 3. How long can I study for? You can study for a minimum of 1 week. The Airport Transfer Information You will be picked up from the airport and taken directly to your accommodation. If supervised check in is required, 25 will be added to your invoice. standard course runs for 12 weeks. However you may take a longer or shorter course depending on your requirements. Waiting charges: after the first hour, you will be charged 25 per hour for any delays. Is insurance included? This is a waiting charge to cover the cost of parking and the driver s time. 6 Homestay Fees Valid from September 2016, until further notice ETC Homestays ETC can arrange homestay accommodation for you if you would like to stay with a local family. Many students who come to study at ETC choose this option, because living with an English family is a good way to practise your spoken English outside the school. You will have a comfortable, clean room with a desk to study at. Accommodation is half-board during the week (bed, breakfast and evening meal) and full-board at weekends (bed, breakfast, lunch and evening meal). Please note that ETC does not firmly book homestay accommodation until we are informed that you have obtained the relevant visa and full fees have been paid. 5

We have single, twin, triple and quadruple rooms available on a half board basis. Students who stay in the ETC Student Residence benefit from not needing to pay for any transport between their accommodation and the classrooms. We offer wireless Internet in all rooms and there are study areas for those who want peace and quiet to work in. Each bedroom is equipped with the following: Bedding Wardrobe Chest of drawers Radiator Wireless Internet. En-suite facilities (shower, washbasin, toilet) Towels and mini fridges are available to purchase/hire from reception. Towels are not included in the price. These can be purchased from the Residence Reception. Single room price per person All rooms are single rooms with a private bathroom and a shared kitchen and lounge. The rooms are self-catered and the residence is situated in a great location, opposite Bournemouth Travel Interchange and a large supermarket. 170 per week 50 cancellation fee (students must give one week s notice to cancel or change their accommodation). A credit card authorisation of 200 is required on arrival to act as a deposit. If no credit card is available, an alternative may be requested.
