This amount will be refunded when the key is returned on their departure. There will be no refund if the key is lost. Parents may send an additional amount of Pocket money for students attending the summer camp. The school shall keep this money in a safe and give the required amount to the student if needed. 7 How do you enrol at Lemania? Any boarding or external students may enrol for both July and August. Please fill in the application form for the desired course in capital letters, in addition to the English and/or French test. You can send us the signed form by internet transfer (please use by , fax or post to : Ecole Lémania (Summer Camp/Courses) Chemin de Préville 3 C P Lausanne Switzerland Tél Fax summercamp@lemania.ch Please pay according to the instructions on the invoice (our bank details are included on page 8 of this brochure or on the invoice that you will receive). Your enrolment will only be valid and your place in the boarding house will only be booked upon receipt of the full payment by the school. Please note that as there is a limited number of places in the boarding house, early booking is recommended. For students needing a visa to come to Switzerland, we will draw up an invitation letter for the Swiss embassy in your country of residence upon receipt of the full payment. N.B. : A visa is required for foreign (non-eu) students. It takes at least 7 working days to send this visa from Switzerland to foreign countries by normal mail (free of charge). An express postage service is offered (CHF 120.-); please state whether you require this option on the application form. Please take account of the time required to obtain the visa. If possible, we must receive your application form and the payment of your invoice in full at least four weeks before your arrival at the school in order to guarantee delivery of the visa in time. 8 Payment conditions The enrolment becomes legally binding : After Lemania School has sent written confirmation of acceptance and after receipt of payment in full by Lemania School. The following payment methods are accepted : Payment can be made (with a 3% surcharge) through Paypal by following the instructions on Paypal.com. 9 How do you reach Lemania? By direct train (every 25 minutes) from Geneva airport; get off at the Gare de Lausanne stop in Lausanne. Lemania School is just a 5-minute walk from Lausanne train station (see map below). Or by Limousine Cab. If you would like this option, please mention it on the application form. The driver will pick you up on the way out of the airport by displaying a sign with your name and will take you back to the school or to any other address in Lausanne and the surrounding area. Students that have chosen the Limousine shuttle service must their exact flight details to summercamp@lemania.ch at least one week before their arrival. By private taxi. 10 General information * First day Boarding students are met at the school on Sunday afternoon by a boarding house tutor or a member of the summer school staff. On Sunday or Monday evening, students can be accompanied into town so that they can change currency, take photos or buy a Sim card for their telephones, as required. Dinner is served for boarders that arrive on Sunday night before the start of courses on Monday. On the first day of lessons, new students must report to the school s secretarial office between 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. on Monday morning in order to receive and sign their student cards. An information session is held for all new students at 8:30 a.m. on Monday. Meals External students can eat lunch in the boarding house for the price of CHF per meal, or choose the 5-day lunch package at CHF 90.- per week. Meal tickets must be bought from the secretarial office before 9:00 a.m. Activities and excursions Boarding students have an intensive activity programme scheduled every afternoon, evening and weekend. The weekly programme is displayed every Monday morning on one of the screens in the school s main hall. External students can enrol on the CHF fixed-price excursion package (5 to 6 activities per week in the afternoons). Information and the cost are provided by the secretarial department. Students must enrol for the activities by Monday morning at the latest. However, it is possible to choose some of the week s activities on an individual basis, as displayed on the screen in the main hall, (the price per activity varies between CHF 50.- and CHF 120.-). Enrolments for individual activities must take place by 9:00 a.m. at the latest on the same day. For external students, certain activities have a limited number of places so they are advised to sign up for them at the earliest possible opportunity. Souvenir photos Photos taken during the stay will subsequently be posted on the summer course website. On this occasion, certificates are presented to students that have completed their courses. A prize is also awarded to the most deserving student of the week.
