1 Online Testing Readiness Checklist This checklist is designed to assist you in planning online test administrations. To fully prepare for a successful online test administration, thoroughly review all administrative and technical manuals.. The Texas Assessment Management System District Orientation available under the Training link will show you how to perform most of the administrative activities found in the Texas Assessment Management System and in the User s Guide for the Texas Assessment Management System for example, assigning login IDs and security profiles to users, creating and monitoring online test sessions, and accessing helpful resources. You are encouraged to print and distribute this checklist to the appropriate staff members depending on job function. Please note that there is some overlap between the job function responsibilities. Therefore, administrative staff should know the basic steps to prepare computers for online testing, and technology staff should especially understand the process of creating and monitoring test sessions.

2 CHECKLIST Preparing for Online Testing: Testing Coordinators (District and Campus) This checklist will help you track the steps involved in preparing for the online test administrations. Recommended timelines are provided for each activity below to assist you. Check off each activity as you complete it to make sure you have fulfilled your responsibilities as the testing coordinator for this administration. Detailed instructions for completing each activity are included in the October 2010 TAKS Online Coordinator/Test Administrator Manual in the sections referenced by page numbers here. Student Tutorials The TELPAS Online Reading Test Student Tutorials ( Tutorials that simulate the format of the online reading test. They give students practice using the online testing interface and expose them to the various types of TELPAS reading selections and test questions. The 2010 TELPAS Released Tests ( -- Scorable tests that can be administered to students for diagnostic purposes. At the end of the test, a raw score result with be provided and can be compared to the raw score conversion table to determine the students proficiency level rating.
