The Co-operative University of Kenya invites applications for self-sponsored students for May 2018 intake Courses offered in main campus- Karen, Nairobi, Meru and Mombasa campuses Programme Qualification Duration Master of Co-operative Master of Business Administration (MBA) Master Of Community Bachelor of Cooperative Business (BCOB) i. Holders of Bachelor degree with First Class Honours OR Second Class Honours, Upper Division in any field from the Co-operative University of Kenya or a recognized University. i. Second Class Lower Division in a relevant field from the Co- operative University of Kenya or a recognized University with at least two (2) years experience in research, administration, management or the public sector, as evidenced by at least one published paper in a refereed journal or Technical reports and patent documents. i. Bachelor s degree with a pass in a relevant field from the Co- operative University of Kenya or a recognized University may be considered for admission if: (a) he/she has at least five (5) years of relevant experience in research, administration, management or the public sector or: (b) has a post-graduate diploma in a relevant field Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a Mean Grade of C+ or its equivalent, OR 8 semesters CUK is ISO 9001: 2015 Certified

2 Bachelor of Cooperatives and Community (BCCD) Bachelor of Science in Disaster Risk & Sustainable (BDM) Bachelor of Commerce (BCOM) Bachelor of Science in Finance Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship Business Administration Business Information Technology Human Resource Entrepreneurship Microfinance Project Public Relations and Advertising Purchasing & Supplies KCSE Mean Grade C- (minus) or its equivalent, plus a KNEC Diploma with a credit I pass (mean score of 60%) or its equivalent from an Accredited and Recognized KCSE Mean Grade C- (minus) or its equivalent, plus a CUK Diploma with a credit I pass (mean score of 60%) or its equivalent from an Accredited and Recognized The Kenya Certificate of Education (KCE), East African Certificate of Education (EACE) "Ordinary Level" Division II or their equivalents, plus a CUK/KNEC Diploma with a credit I pass (mean score of 60%)or their equivalents from an Accredited and Recognized The Kenya Certificate of Education (KCE), East African Certificate of Education (EACE) "Ordinary Level" Division III or their equivalents, plus CUK/KNEC Certificate and CUK/KNEC Diploma with a credit I pass (mean score of 60%) or their equivalents from an Accredited and Recognized The Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education (KACE) "Advanced Level" with two Principal passes and subsidiary. Subject Specific Requirements for direct entrants shall be C plain in English/Kiswahili and C plain in Mathematics/Group II. 1. KCSE (or its equivalent) with mean grade C- (Minus) 2. O-Level Division III (or its equivalent) 3. Credit Pass in a relevant Certificate Course from the Cooperative University of Kenya or a recognized institution. 4. Holder of qualifications deemed to be equivalent to any of the above. 5. Possession of the Minimum requirements does not guarantee automatic admission to Diploma Programme. 6. Subject to the approval of the Senate, schools may formulate regulations requiring applicants to have attained such academic or equivalent qualification, as may be consistent with the goals of their Diploma programme. 4 Application forms can be collected from The Co-operative University of Kenya Main Campus (Karen), Nairobi Campus (Ufundi Co-op Plaza), and Mombasa Campus (Jubilee Arcade), Meru Campus or downloaded from the University website Fully filled forms with payment of a nonrefundable fee of Kshs. 500/= for Diploma and Kshs. 1,500 for Degree programmes, and Kshs. 2,000 for Master s degree programs paid through Bank deposit at any Co-operative Bank of Kenya Account No (Karen Branch, Nairobi).
