You must accept the entire package stated in the Offer of Admission. Examples of a packaged offer: ELICOS diploma bachelor ELICOS postgraduate program TERMS Student number Program CRICOS code Admit term Commencement date Attendance Normal duration Tuition fee Overseas student health cover Your student number is a 7 digit number and is located at the top left hand corner of your Offer of Admission eg S Please mention your student number in all correspondence to us. A student s children are required to attend school in Australia, but the student is required to pay full fees for any children. LIVING EXPENSES Australia enjoys one of the highest standards of living in the world, while still remaining affordable. Below is a weekly estimate of costs in AUD. This is a guide only and you could spend more or less depending on where you live, your lifestyle and what you study, and whether you bring family members with you. It is generally cheaper to live in a regional city than a metropolitan city such as Sydney. Suggested Weekly Budget Accommodation/rent $230 Groceries and eating out $130 Public transport $50 Utilities $50 Mobile phone and Internet $50 Study needs textbooks, stationery and photocopying $30 Miscellaneous clothes, toiletries, medical and $60 entertainment Total $600 For more in-depth information regarding cost of living in Australia visit the Study in Australia website at You will need to make sure you have enough funds to support you when you first arrive. It is recommended that you have approximately AU$1500 to AU$3000 available for the first two to three weeks to pay for temporary accommodation and transport. You should bring most of this money as either traveller s cheques or on an international credit card. Traveller s cheques can be cashed at any bank or currency exchange in Australia. Please note that it is not safe to bring large sums of money with you. Lost credit cards or traveller s cheques can be replaced, but very few travel insurance companies will replace lost or stolen cash. Do not ask someone you have just met to handle your cash for you or to take your cash to make payments for you. Not even someone who may indicate they are studying at the same education institution. EDUCATION SERVICES FOR OVERSEAS STUDENTS (ESOS) FRAMEWORK CQUniversity wants you to have a safe, enjoyable and rewarding time in Australia. Australia s laws promote quality education and consumer protection for international students.
