1 RT 108 RAD *Radiographic Procedures I The student learns how to perform radiographic procedures of the chest, abdomen, pelvis, and upper and lower extremity. Positioning techniques to achieve quality radiographs are discussed, along with associated anatomy, pathology, and special studies. Laboratory study is utilized in this unit to demonstrate clinical applications of theoretical principles and concepts. The RT 101 RAD *Fundamentals of Radiologic Science & Health Care Provides the student with an overview of Medical Imaging and its role in health care delivery. Students are oriented to key departments, professionalism, and the process to become a successful RT(R). The college offers this course as part of the Radiologic Technology program through course which is instructed by Rolla Technical faculty. To pursue program admittance, students may call for information. RT 106 RAD *Patient Care in Radiologic Science Student learns concepts, medical ethics, and patient care including consideration of physical and psychological conditions, routine and emergency patient care procedures, the role of the radiographer in patient education, and the special aspects of death and dying. Laboratory study is utilized in this unit to demonstrate clinical applications of theoretical principles and concepts. CPR certification will be achieved. The college offers this course as part of the Radiologic Technology program through program admittance students may call for information.

2 RT 109 RAD *Radiographic Physics I Students gain knowledge of basic atomic structure and radiographic physics along with their units of measurements. The electromagnetic spectrum is discussed in relationship to x-rays. The college offers this course as part of the Radiologic Technology program through partnership with the Rolla School District. RT 102 RAD *Radiation Protection, Radiation Production & Characteristics Students learn principles of radiation protection, responsibility to patients, personnel, and the public, as well as dose equivalent limits and regulatory involvement. RT 102 RAD *Digital Image Acquisition & Display I Students are introduced to factors that govern and influence the production of the radiographic image using CR/DR equipment. The college offers this course as part of the Radiologic Technology program through partnership with the Rolla School District. RT 110 RAD *Clinical Practicum I competency in ten general patient care activities, three mandatory radiologic procedures from a selected list of thirty. To pursue RT 208 RAD *Radiographic Procedures II The student learns how to perform radiographic procedures of the spine, thorax, digestive, urinary systems & cranium. Positioning techniques to achieve quality radiographs are discussed, along with associated anatomy, pathology, and special studies. Laboratory study is utilized in this unit to demonstrate clinical applications of theoretical principles and concepts. The program admittance, students may call for information. RT 209 RAD *Radiographic Physics II Students gain knowledge of components and operation of x-ray generating equipment. X-ray production, beam characteristics and x-ray interactions with matter are also discussed. The college offers this course as part of the Radiologic Technology program through partnership with the Rolla School District. Only students accepted and enrolled through the Rolla Technical Center are allowed entry in to this course which is instructed by Rolla Technical Center faculty. RT 204 RAD 1703 *Digital Image Acquisition & Display II 3.0 Students learn in depth factors that govern and influence the production of the radiographic image using CR/DR equipment such as acquisition, processing, and display. Laboratory study is utilized in this unit to demonstrate clinical applications of theoretical principles and concepts. The

4 RT 210 RAD *Clinical Practicum II competency in six mandatory radiologic procedures and three elective radiologic procedures from a selected list of thirty. Each student will be able to perform procedures independently, consistently, and effectively. The course which is taught by Rolla Technical Center faculty. To pursue RT 404 RAD *Digital Image Acquisition & Display III Students learn advanced concepts such as the controlling factors of the display monitor and quality assurance during the production of the radiographic images using CR/DR equipment. The college offers this course as part of the Radiologic Technology program through partnership with the Rolla School District. Only students accepted and enrolled through the Rolla Rolla Technical Center faculty. To pursue program admittance, students may call for information. RT 509 RAD *Imaging Equipment The student learns knowledge about equipment routinely utilized to produce diagnostic images such as Mobile, Tomography, AEC, and Fluoroscopy. Various recording media and techniques are discussed. The college offers this course as part of the Radiologic Technology program through course which is instructed by the Rolla Technical Center faculty. To pursue

5 RT 316 RAD *Pharmacology & Drug Administration Students learn IV Therapy procedures, complications, and equipment necessary for infusion of drugs, as well as information about contrast media and medications. Laboratory study is utilized in this unit to demonstrate clinical applications of theoretical principles and concepts. The college offers this course as part of the Radiologic Technology program through RT 310 RAD *Clinical Practicum III competency in one general patient care activity, seven mandatory radiologic procedures and three elective radiologic procedures from a selected list of thirty. Each student will be able to perform procedures independently, consistently, and effectively. The college offers this course as part of the Radiologic Technology program through partnership with the Rolla School District. To pursue program admittance, students may call for information. RT 413 RAD *Radiation Biology Students learn the principles of cell radiation interaction. Radiation effects of cells and factors affecting cell response are presented, acute and chronic effects of radiation are discussed. The college offers this course as part of the Radiologic Technology program through partnership with the Rolla School District. Prerequisite: Admittance into program RT 408 RAD *Advanced Radiographic Procedures I The student is provided the opportunity to learn basic knowledge regarding Mammography, Computed Tomography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging. Topics integrated into the class will include: patient care, anatomy, cross section anatomy, imaging procedures, and equipment specific as related to Mammography, Computed Tomography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging. Laboratory study is utilized in this unit to demonstrate clinical applications

RT 410 RAD *Clinical Practicum IV competency in ten mandatory radiologic procedures and four elective radiologic procedures from a selected list of thirty. Each student will be able to perform procedures independently, consistently, and effectively. The RT 520 RAD *Curriculum Review Students review all aspects of the Radiologic Technology curriculum. This is preparation for the successful completion (75% or better) on the American Registry of Radiologic Technologies national exam. The college offers this course as part of the Radiologic Technology program through partnership with the Rolla School District. Only students accepted and enrolled through the Rolla Technical Center are allowed entry in to this course which is taught by Rolla Technical Center faculty. Prerequisite: Admittance into program RT 508 RAD *Advanced Radiographic Procedures II The student learns how to perform special radiographic procedures such as angiography, sialography, and hysterosalpingography. The associated anatomy, pathology, and the special equipment used for these exams are learned. Using knowledge from multiple didactic units, especially clinical education the student evaluates radiographic examinations for diagnostic quality, and then uses critical thinking skills to make corrections if necessary. The college offers this course as part of the Radiologic Technology program through partnership with the Rolla School District.
