Our understanding was that the course would lose its SRER designation but return to its original pre 2013 status (as a GE course only having the Creative/Performing Arts designation. Can you clarify this? Thanks, Kevin Kevin Drzakowski, Ph.D. Associate Professor of English Chair, Department of English and Philosophy University of Wisconsin Stout Office Phone: drzakowskik@uwstout.edu

7 From: Drzakowski, Kevin Sent: Friday, July 15, :34 PM To: Baron, Breanna Subject: Re: curriculum related items requiring attention Breanna, I contacted Joan Navarre about LIT 230, American Cinema. The course already existed before it went through the expedited approval process; it went through the process to receive a Contemporary Issues designation. Joan preferred not to retain the Contemporary Issues designation. It's our understanding that the course should then remain as it was before an RES B course, but without the Contemporary Issues designation. Please let me know if this is not correct. Thanks, Kevin Kevin Drzakowski, Ph.D. Associate Professor of English Chair, Department of English and Philosophy University of Wisconsin Stout

9 MATHEMATICS, STATISTICS AND COMPUTER SCIENCE MEMORANDUM DATE: August 16, 2016 TO: CC: FROM: SUBJECT: Glendali Rodriguez, Associate Vice Chancellor Charles Bomar, Dean of the College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Chris Bendel, Chair Changing the numbering of MATH-110 to MATH-090 In the fall of 2015, Provost Guilfoile approved the designation of MATH-110 Intermediate Algebra as a remedial (non-college credit bearing) course, effective with the Spring 2016 semester. Other existing remedial courses on campus include MATH-010 and ENGL-090. To be consistent with other campus numbering and to help ensure that students recognize that the MATH-110 course will not count towards graduation, the MSCS Department proposes changing the numbering of MATH-110 to MATH-090. Please let me know if you have any questions.
