2 POSITION PROFILE DEAN OF ACADEMIC AFFAIRS 1 As Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University s (KCAD s) chief academic officer, the Dean of Academic Affairs is charged with overall responsibility for the vision, accomplishments, and success of the College s academic programs and reports directly to the President of KCAD. The Dean of Academic Affairs joins the College s senior leadership team and is responsible for collaborating with faculty, students, staff and others to create a unified vision for KCAD s academic programs and for providing strategic leadership to advance the overall quality, reputation, stature, and aspirational goals of the College. The Dean is an experienced leader with a deep commitment to diversity and inclusion within the institution and in relationship to the urban community of Grand Rapids. 1. KCAD s more than 1,200 students are a blend of dynamic personalities that form a vibrant community with a passion for all things creative.
