1 Job descriptions Director Perform special assignments and responsibilities for one or more functional areas of the Trillium charter School e.g., Community Building, Facilities, Fund Development, etc. Participates in meetings and is an active member of the Board of Directors. Performs specific assignments on one or more committees, at the request of the President and/or a Vice President, and may take a leadership role in performing an assignment. Attends Committee meetings to assist in the performing of the Committee functions. Perform other special assignments and responsibilities as requested or required.

2 President/chair The President shall preside at all meetings of the Trillium Charter School. Preside at all meetings of the board of directors and exercise and performs such other powers and duties as may be assigned to him or her by the Board or prescribed by the Bylaws. Provides general direction of the business and staff of the school, subject to such supervisory powers, if any, as may be given by the board of directors; Prepares reports for the board of directors concerning the affairs of his/her office; Performs a leading role in the selection of the next year s board of directors; Performs other special assignments and responsibilities as requested or required.

3 Past president/ Past chair: As an ex-officio member, serve as support for the President and board of directors, while helping to maintain continuity from year to year. Mentor and coach current President and/or board members; Attend all board meetings Performs other special assignments and responsibilities as requested or required; Represents the School at the request of the President or Head of School;

4 Secretary Directs and/or performs the administrative and record keeping functions for the Trillium Charter School Board of Directors. To keep full and complete record of the proceedings of the board of directors; Provide direction to the School s staff in keeping minutes of Board meetings, sending announcements to all stakeholders, and performing other duties as required. To countersign all papers and instruments in writing that may require the signature of the Secretary; To serve and publish all necessary and proper notices. In the case of absence, inability, refusal, or neglect of the Secretary to serve or publish any notice, then the President, President Elect or any person authorized by them or by the board of directors. Document Board s procedures and guidelines. General to do and perform all such duties as may pertain to his/her office and as may be required by the board of directors, and as may be given or imposed by law upon the Secretary of Trillium Charter School, provided such powers and duties are not inconsistent with the Bylaws of this organization; To attend all board of director meetings If the President, or in his/her absence or disability, the President Elect, shall fail or refuse to call a meeting of the board of directors upon the written request of a majority of members of the board of directors it shall be the duty of the Secretary to call such meeting. Perform other responsibilities as requested or required.

5 Treasurer Reviews financial reports and offers advice and expertise to Head of School. To keep safely all moneys of Trillium Charter School; To assist the Director of the School in the preparation of the annual operating budget for board approval; Present annual budget to the board for consideration; Monitors School expenses to ensure adherence to the approved operating budget. Conducts financial analysis of current and estimate future expenditures; To supervise the keeping of the accounts and books of the School; Presents monthly financial reports at the board meetings; Provides financial guidance to the committees and the Head of the School; To attend all board and general school meetings; To do and to perform all such other duties as pertain to his/her office and as may be required of him/her by the board of directors.

6 TFT Liaison Acts as a liason between the Trillium charter school Board of Directors and the parent/staff/community organization Together for Trillium. Attend all board of director meetings, let the board know what was discussed at the TFT meetings, pass on TFT information for the board. Attend all Together for Trillium meetings, let the TFT know what is on the board's current agenda, pass on Board information to the TFT. Generally work to keep the TFT and Board working together for the betterment of Trillium.
