NEET National Eligibility cum Entrance Test or NEET is the national level examination for admission to MBBS & BDS courses NEET exam is a gateway for admissions into medical & dental UG courses offered by various government and private medical colleges of the country DURATION : 1 YEAR PROGRAM, 2 YEAR PROGRAM IIT JEE MAINS & ADVANCED Candidates seeking admission into technical institutions like National Institute of Technology (NIT), Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and reputed tech institutions across the country have to appear for Joint Entrance Examination ( JEE). It is mandatory for students to take JEE (Mains) and JEE (Advanced) examinations to get admission into centrally funded institutions. Students who qualify in the Mains are eligible to appear for the Advanced examination. The NEET scorecard forms the basis for allotting about 94,000 medical seats across the country. NEET exam is a gateway for admissions into medical & dental UG courses offered by various government and private medical colleges of the country. From the year 2016 onwards, AIPMT exam has been replaced by NEET examination. All medical institutions consider NEET score for providing admission in MBBS/BDS courses. NEET EXAM PATTERN The exam will comprise of 180 objective type questions (four options with single correct answer) from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology) to be answered on the specially designed machine-gradable sheet using Ball Point Pen provided at the test center. Each correct answer will be awarded 4 marks. Maximum marks are 720 Negative marking is applicable. 1 Mark will be deducted for every wrong answer The duration of test will be 3 hours NEET ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA Candidates should have qualified 12th or equivalent exam with at least 50% marks, 10+2 appearing students are also eligible to apply. Candidates seeking admission into technical institutions like National Institute of Technology (NIT), Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and reputed tech institutions across the country have to appear for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). JEE is constituted by two different examinations JEE Mains and JEE Advanced. The exams are of objective pattern. JEE Advanced is regarded internationally as one of the most challenging undergraduate admission tests. Other institutes like The Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs), Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology and Indian Institute of Science also make use of JEE to fuel their admission process. JEE Mains, which replaces AIEEE, is for admission to the National Institute of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and some other colleges designated as "centrally funded technical institutes" (CFTIs). JEE Advanced, which replaces IIT JEE, is for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). Only the students selected in JEE Mains are eligible for appearing in JEE Advanced. It is used as the sole admission test by the 23 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). There are 31 NITs & 23 IITs taking admission for JEE Mains & JEE Advanced.

A candidate will opt for either Pen and Paper Based or Computer Based examination mode JEE Mains Paper 1 will contain questions from Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics subjects It will contain a total of 90 objective type questions. Weightage to all subjects are given equal. Total 30 questions will be asked from each subject The exam duration will be 3 hours. 4 hours for candidates having 40% disability Each correct question will carry 4 marks 1/4 negative marking for every incorrect answer i.e. 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect response

10 www. achievaedu.com 08 JEE JEE ADVANCED EXAM PAPER PATTERN IIT JEE Advanced exam will be conducted through online (Computer Based) mode only The question papers will contain objective type that includes MCQ, MSQ, NAT, MT and PARAGRAPH type questions The examination consists of 2 papers. It is mandatory for the candidates to attempt both the papers There are 3 separate sections in both the papers, namely Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics Total 3 hours will be provided to each paper.
