3 ANNOUNCEMENT th The All India Fine Arts & Crafts Society has great pleasure in announcing its 9 All India Photo Exhibition The purpose of holding this Exhibition is to emphasize the excellence of photography as a medium of creative expression. Entries to the Exhibition would be received in portfolio of 5 photographs minimum size 12 X 15 and maximum 20 X 24. The photos may either be in black and white or colour. th 9 ALL INDIA PHOTO EXHIBITION th th Date of the Exhibition: 20 February to 29 February, th th Date of receipt of entries and Schedules: 7 to 12 December, AWARDS 1. The Society give three AIFACS cash awards of Rs. 15,000/- each to the outstanding portfolios with minimum of 3 (three) works selected. 2. Three AIFACS cash awards of Rs. 10,000/- each. st Age should be 25 years and above on 1 January Outstation awardees would also be paid A.C. 3 tier Railway fare but not Rajdhani Train to and fro and Rs. 250/- towards incidentals to attend the inaugural function and receive the award in person. However, the visiting photographer will have to make arrangement for his/her stay in Delhi at his/her expense. All portfolios received for the exhibition would be put before the Selection and Judging Committee and the decision of the Committee would be binding on the photographers both in regard to selection and awards and no correspondence whatsoever will be entertained by the Society on the subject. To encourage large number of photographers to participate and to ensure safe delivery of the exhibits, the AIFACS has decided to pay IInd Class Railway fare to and fro both for submission of works and taking them back, to any artist who brings works of atleast 8

4 artists for the Exhibition and manages to take the exhibits back with in a month after the Exhibition is over. Both the Railway fares for inward and outward journey would be paid only at the time of taking back the exhibits. No T. A. Will be given if the works are not taken with in a month. The packing charges and freight may be borne by the respective Association or the photographers proportionately. The exhibits may be sent without mounts and frames. RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR ENTRY SPECIAL FEATURE: To encourage photographers to send their entries for All India Photo Exhibition, the Society has got manufactured special Aluminium frames with glass and back of the following sizes: X X X30 Which, would be provided for the selected exhibits for display free of charge. The facility will minimize the expenditure on transport of the exhibits and will also save lot of botheration of framing the exhibits on the part of photographers. The photographers participating in the above exhibition may send their exhibits, if they so desire, without frame by post parcel and the Society will frame the selected entries at its cost. ELEGIBILITY: The exhibition is open to all photographers in India, who may submit a portfolio of 5 photos, minimum size 12 X 15 maximum size 20 X 24 either in black and white or colour, without mounts and frames. Any foreign photographer staying in India since January 2010 is also entitled to participate. ENTRY FEE: th There will be entry fee of Rs. 200/- only per schedule, for the 9 All India Photo Exhibition. No exhibit will be placed before the Selection and Judging Committee unless the corresponding entry fee is paid. SCHEDULE & Schedule for the exhibition may be completed and sent to the Society SUBMISSION along with entry fee as per dates mentioned in the schedule Exhibits OF EXHIBITS & for the exhibition may also be submitted as per dates in the schedule. ACCEPTANCE: No exhibit will be accepted for the Photo Exhibition which, has already been displayed in any of the Society's Photo Exhibition. An exhibit which has already received an award in any All India Photo Exhibition

5 should not be submitted for competition. No exhibit which has been executed before 2010 will be accepted. Note : CATALOGUE: SELECTION: AND JUDGING SALE: Download the performa from our website and Photocopy proforma of Schedule will also be accepted. The Society reserves the right to have accepted works reproduced in catalogue and any other publication or to supply photographs of the same to the press for publicity purposes. Each exhibitor will receive a complimentary copy of the catalogue and an invitation card to the opening of the exhibition. Local participants are requested to collect their copy of the catalogue personally from the Society's office during exhibition period. The exhibits will be submitted to Selection and Judging Committee which will have full authority to accept or reject any exhibit at their discretion. The decision of the Selection and Judging Committee shall be final and no objection on any ground whatsoever will be entertained. a) All sales will be negotiated by the All India Fine Arts & Crafts Society and The Society will retain 20% on all sales for the AIFACS ARTISTS WELFARE FUND. The balance of 80% will be paid over to the Photographer concerned only after the whole of the purchase money is realized. b) Copyright of the photos sold by the Society would pass on to the buyer. For better sale, the artist should price their exhibits reasonably. INSURANCE: RETURN OF WORKS: The Society will endeavour to take every possible care for the safety of the exhibits during display, transit or in the custody of the Society would not be responsible for any loss or dangs during display, storage or transit and no claim to this effect will be entertained. Exhibitors, if they so desire may cover their risk by insurance at their cost. No works which has been included in the exhibition will be allowed to be removed before its close. The Society undertakes to return all works immediately the exhibition is over, to the owners at their risk and cost. Exhibitors personally submitted their exhibits should take them back within a week after the close of exhibition. If the exhibits are not taken back within a month after the close of exhibition, the Society shall have the right to dispose off the exhibits in any manner it deems fit and photographers will have no claim against the Society whatsoever. The outstation photographers who arrange to deliver their works personally should take the works personally.

6 CHANGE OF ADDRESS: GENERAL: Photographers should notify any change in their address immediately. In the absence of notification of change of address the R/Rs/Parcels will be sent to the photographer at their address notified in the Schedule. If due to change of address the R/R or Parcel is misplaced and the Railway, Postal authorities auction the exhibits, as unclaimed goods, the Society will not be responsible for such loss. Lids of boxes should be fastened with screws and not with nails. Each lid must bear on the under side a card containing the name and address of the exhibitor and contents of the package for verification. All exhibits must have two labels, one to be pasted on the reverse side of the exhibit and the other held by a string not more than 6 inches long. Schedule and labels are enclosed. All packages should be freight paid and address to The President, All India Fine Arts & Crafts Society, 1, Rafi Marg, New Delhi Each participant is required to send brief bio-data not exceeding 200 words, 5 photographs 7 X 5 on glossy paper from the original negative, for Catalogue and publicity purpose with the schedule.
