4 Are you on track? A total of twenty-three (23) credits is required for graduation. Transfer students may have increased credit requirements based on the number of transfer credits. If you are a transfer student contact your counselor for the number of credits needed for graduation. 17 credits are required to be classified as a Senior If you ve lost credits due to a failing grade or attendance, you may not be classified as a Senior next year. Additionally, Dearborn Public Schools requires students to successfully complete Computer Applications in middle school or high school and complete the Michigan Merit Exam or MI ACCESS before being granted a diploma.

5 Collegiate Academy Students Circle only one DHS elective class for each semester. Course selection sheets will be returned to Mrs. Malone during the scheduled pick up day.

9 Required Senior Classes If you are currently taking Algebra 2 A you must complete the course by taking Algebra 2 B Current Algebra 2 (1 year) students may choose Trig/PreCalc, Statistics or senior year math classes. Current Honors Algebra 2 students may choose Precalc, Statistics, or senior year math classes. Current Pre-Calc students should elect AP Calculus.

13 Dual Enrollment Dual Enrollment Registration will run until Signed Statement of Understanding must be returned to your counselor before permission to register. Do not select Dual Enrollment on your course selection sheet. Selections will be adjusted once registration has taken place.

14 Work Based Learning Employers want people with experience and one way to get that is through the Work Based Learning Program Students must work a minimum number of 15 hours per week Must work in an approved site Course requirements also include weekly time cards, paycheck stubs and employer evaluations Must attend the information meeting the first week of school Select Non-CTE on course selection only if approved by the CTE coordinator. See your counselor for the form. This can also be selected in the fall if you have a job.
