12 Standardized Tests Required for Graduation Student are required to participate in state-mandated End of Course Tests (EOC) to earn credit for designated high school courses. The results of this multiple-choice test count for 20% of the student s semester grade in the semester the test is administered. 18 College Entrance Exams and Important Standardized Tests SAT - College admission test which measures aptitude and skill in math, evidence-based reading and writing, and writing (optional). ACT - College admission test which measures aptitude and skill in Math, Reading, English, Science, and writing (optional). SAT Subject Tests - One-hour tests offered in subjects such as English, foreign language, science, history, and mathematics. Some colleges require the SAT II test(s) & students should check with each college to determine if it is necessary to take the SAT II AP Exams Accuplacer or Compass placement exam for two year and technical colleges ASVAB Aptitude/career exam required for entrance into the military that determines your eligibility for military jobs (given in January) Test Registration SAT ACT High School Code Most colleges will accept either the ACT/SAT. These tests are only required for admissions to four year colleges. Students can take both. Check with Mrs. Lake in the College & Career Center for a fee waiver.

A great way to meet the Admissions Representatives for schools you are interested in applying to in most cases, the same reps who will be reading your admission applications. A great way to have questions answered, get material on the school and meet fellow classmates who are interested in attending schools you are interested in as well.
