Harmony Day Thank you to everyone involved in the planning and implementation of Harmony Day last Friday. It was a great day, with fantastic student, staff and parent participation. NOTICES SENT HOME THIS WEEK Special Religious Instructions Buddhism Preps, 1, 2 Special Religious Instructions Buddhism Years 3,4,5,6 Year 5 Camp Last Reminder Kelly Sports Term 2 Prep to 4 Year 6 Camp Expression of Interest Special Religious Instruction Letters confirming arrangements and requests for payment have been sent home to students who have expressed interest in participating in Special Religious Instruction (Christianity, Islam and Buddhism (Year 3 6)). Unfortunately, Religions for Peace (Buddhist Council of Victoria) are unable to conduct Buddhism classes for Preps, Year 1 and Year 2 at this stage. If you have already forwarded payment to the school for Prep Year 2 Buddhism participation, the payment can be collected at the office prior to end of term. We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused. Royal Children s Good Friday Appeal Together as a school community we raised $710.60 for the Royal Children s Hospital Appeal. A BIG THANK YOU to those families for their kind donations and support of the annual Good Friday Appeal. ANZAC DAY BADGES 2015 ANZAC Day Friday 25 th April in the first week of term 2. ANZAC Day badges are available from the school office before and after school and during lunch eating time. Proceeds from the sale of ANZAC Day badges are used in welfare work carried out by the RSL for exservicemen, women and their children. Regional Swimming Carnival Congratulations to Adhya, Alissa, Joy and Emily who all competed today at the Regional Swimming Carnival at MSAC. All results will be finalised at the end of the day. The school has requested that we continue to pick up Prep children only from their classrooms for term 2 as well. A Camp Australia staff member will meet the children at the designated area which all Prep children and their Teachers are aware of and walk them over each afternoon. We will also still walk the children to their classrooms each morning as well. After School Care will commence at 2.30pm tomorrow afternoon in line with the schools early dismissal time.
