The Key objectives of the consultancy were: i.identify current gaps in knowledge, behaviours, intentions, and risk perceptions among female sex works, men who have sex with men, low income women, men at formal and informal work places, fisher folks, prisoners, in-school and out-of-school youth; ii.determine media habits and communication channels specific to MARPs, iii.identify and recommend multiple platforms for disseminating behavior change communication messages based on segmented target audiences iv.use findings of the assessment to develop BCC strategy for A+ Western Kenya Project; and v.facilitate the dissemination of the BCC Strategy to stakeholders. June 2011-present: available for consultancy services to Africa Cancer Foundation on Public Education and Awareness raising on pro bono basis September 2011: Formative Assessment of challenges facing international students in Moi University, International Office, Moi University, Eldoret. Registered communication research consultant with UN data base 2003-2006: Management of Formative and Summative Behavior: During my research studies, I worked on voluntary basis in the International Office where I was in charge of welcoming international students to the University of Nottingham. I was charged with assessing their entry level expectations and measuring whether their expectations had been met at the end of their studies. I consult for the Moi University International Office in determining the reasons why international students choose 7

Together with my wife, we started Upendo Junior School which to date supports needy children. The school is linked to Wadsworth Fields Primary School, in Nottingham, UK. The two Schools have since 2009 received funding from the DFiD under Global Schools Partnerships towards curriculum exchange activities. I have always effectively accounted for the funds thereof as I am very passionate about the exchange. In my spare time I enjoy playing scrabble and badminton, reading fiction, traveling, cooking and riding my bike. I volunteered weekly at the Fair Trade Lunch run by the Nottingham University Catholic Society (CathSoc) where I served as a customer assistant and helped with clearing. I hold a full clean driving license and a completion certificate for the 3 months National Youth Service pre-university training having acquired skills in fire fighting, mountain climbing, First Aid and drill among others. I am a keen environmentalist who enjoys planting trees and engaging in environmental protection advocacy. 8

I enjoy collaborating with other scholars on issues of mutual interest. I have just completed writing a joint proposal with a colleague at USIU with a view to setting up a Higher Education E-research Centre to corroborate research in higher institutions of learning in Kenya REFEREES 1.
