Level 1: Dylan Ruth Level 2: Jeff Quilty & Brittany Pittman MOST IMPROVED AVERAGE Presenter: Ms. Payne This award is given to one Level One & Two Student who has shown the most improved overall average this year from the November Report card to the April report card & positive classroom behavior. Level 2 Mark Rowsell Emily Chaisson The Brian Hamlyn Memorial Award: Presenter Christian Hamlyn & Angie Knee The award is given in memory of Brian Hamlyn, father of Jordan, Nathan, and Christian. Brian passed away suddenly in November 2010. He was devoted to his family and was so proud of his sons. He emphasized involvement in different aspects of school life encouraging them to honor their commitments whether it was a sports team, band/troupe or school. He believed that they should always try to do their best. Brian s Information Management co-workers at Western Health felt he deserved to be honored in this way and have donated the school plaque and student keeper plaques to be used for this award. Emily Flynn TRUE TITAN AWARD Presenter Mr. Chaytor This award is presented to ONE Level 1 & 2 student who is exemplifies Tolerance; Respect; Unity; & Excellence. A student is nominated by staff. This award is given to ONE Level 1 & 2 student who has demonstrated honesty, integrity, respectability and who is a good representative of the Titan spirit. Level 1: Bradley Philpott Level 2: Dylan Thomas OVERALL ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE Presenter: Mr. Austin This award is presented to the Level 1 & Level 2 student with the highest overall average in ALL subject areas based on the April s Report Card. STUDENT OF THE YEAR: Presenter Mr. Barrett This award is presented to a Level 1 & 2 student who is well-rounded. They have achieved academic excellence - excelled in all areas of service, volunteerism and overall accomplishment. Level 1: Alysha Pelley Level 2: Daniel Whitten SPECIAL RECOGNITION AWARDS 245pm University of Waterloo Math Competition Results: Presenter Mr. French These are the University of Waterloo Math competition awards for the Cayley contest in Grade 10 and the Fermat contest in Grade 11 and the Euclid in Grade 12. The Grade 10 CAYLEY team placed 1st in the district claiming the title of Zone Champions Fermat 2013. They received a banner last June at the District Awards ceremony. The following students also scored in the top 25% in Canada. The Cayley team consisted of: Tyler Whitten, Marcus Flynn, Ian Grover, & Matthew English CAYLEY UNIVERSITY OF WATERLOO School Medal goes to the top 2 students in the school: Please come up to the stage to receive your medals. SILVER TYLER WHITTEN GOLD MARCUS FLYNN The Grade 11 FERMAT team placed 1st in the district claiming the title of Zone Champions Fermat 2013. They received a banner last June at the District Awards ceremony. The following students also scored in the top 25% in Canada. Please come up to receive your certificate from the University of Waterloo. The FERMAT team consisted of: Emily Flynn, Marta Croll-Baehre & Michael McWhirter FERMAT UNIVERSITY OF WATERLOO School Medal goes to the top 2 students in the school. Please come up to the stage to receive your medals.

SILVER EMILY FYLNN GOLD MICHAEL MCWHIRTER The Grade 12 EUCLID team also had some Grade 11 s on it. The following Grade 11 student was also awarded a Silver medal for the Grade 12 EUCLID contest: SILVER - EMILY FYLNN COACHES AWARDS: Presenter Mr. Sweetland This award is based on active participation in a specific sport. The student must be dedicated; dependable; and excellent sportsmanship. This does not have to be the best player but rather the player who has a passion for the sport who attends most of the practices and has a strong sense of fair play. Honor Roll: Certificates presented to academic and general students who have obtained an overall average of 80% or above in their programming. Course Awards Course Awards are presented to the top L1 or L2 student for each course based on their June 2013 results. Principal s roll; Honor Roll and the Course Awards certificates will be presented to students by their homeroom teachers with their Report cards. **If any student feels that their name was missed from the list please notify one of the Guidance Counsellors by Friday so they check it for you.
