Texas School District Police Chiefs Association The Texas School District Police Chief s Association is pleased to announce the availability of six (6) scholarships throughout the Great State of Texas. One scholarship will be awarded in each of the six (6) Regions of the Association, and are in the amount of $1,000 each. The scholarship is in the form of reimbursement for expenses incurred relevant to the pursuit of a degree in the field of criminal justice. Requisites: - Must be a child or dependent child of Law Enforcement Officer - Must show proof of enrollment for a minimum of twelve (12) hours of college credit at an accredited college, university, vocational school prior to receiving scholarship payment. - Must demonstrate scholastic ability. - Must not have been convicted of a crime. - Must be under 25 years of age. In addition to the above requirements, other considerations that the selection committee will review are the following: financial need, current participation in criminal justice activities, student leadership, and scholastic ability. A personal interview with a member or members of the selection committee may be required of the finalists and their counselors. Applications for the scholarship are attached.
