He has served at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church since June of 2000 where he played a key role in opening the Activities Center and The Fields at JFBC and initiated many sports and fitness programs for people of all ages. Prior to coming to JFBC, Danny served as Minister of Youth/College and Minister of Recreation at Spring Hill Baptist Church in Mobile, Alabama; Minister of Youth at First Baptist Church in Gainesville, Georgia; and Minister of Education and Recreation at First Baptist Church in Marietta, Oklahoma. Downing holds a Bachelor of Arts in Health/Physical Education and Christianity at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia and a Master of Arts in Religious Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminar in Fort Worth, Texas. Ordained to the Ministry by the First Baptist Church in Gainesville, Georgia in 1989, Danny continues to be a model for all sport, rec. and fitness ministers. As an author, Downing was a contributing writer for TM412 and TeamKID and in addition has been a contributing writer for 252 Basics. He is certified by the National Youth Sports Coaches Association and the Positive Coaching Alliance. Downing has served on the CSRM board, including a term as CSRM Board President. He is passionate about coaching youth sports, running and playing tennis. While working at Dawson Memorial Baptist Church in Birmingham, Danny met his future wife Linda Alexander. Linda and Danny have four children: Carole Ann, Merry Emily, Hannah Kate, and Luke.

Eric Duey grew up in Indiana near Chicago. He moved to England in 2010 where he was a youth pastor and rugby player while studying and receiving a degree in the Theology of Mission. In 2013 he returned to the US to take a position as the Sports & Fitness Ministry Director at Connection Pointe Christian Church near Indianapolis. Eric is a much-respected next generation leader of the Sports Outreach Movement, in respect to his insightful thinking and innovative approaches to gospel-centered ministry. He is a regular part of planning and presenting on monthly webinars with CSO & CSRM. He is passionate, has a vision for the big picture and loves food, music, and sports. Cory Hunka Jay Martin is the Senior Director of Camp and Sport Outreach at Perimeter Church in Johns Creek, Ga. He and his team have a compelling passion to create highly attractive environments that discover, develop and deploy lifetime disciple makers. They do this through a shared pursuit of becoming truly world class in bringing about mission minded transformation in their leadership development initiatives; Camp All-American and Sojourn Adventures. He has been in full time Camping and Sports ministry for 21 years. Jay is a well-respected leader in the Sports Outreach Movement and his passion for developing Sports Outreach based on gospel-centered principles is renowned. He has an undergraduate and graduate degree in Management from Ga. Tech. He was born and raised in Atlanta, Ga. He played football on the 1990 Ga. Tech National Championship Team. Following his playing career he stayed on and coached with Bobby Ross and Bill Lewis. He has been married to his wife Heather for 25 years. They have 3 kids: Jacob (19), Mallory (16) and Benjamin (13). He loves to hunt, fish, camp and spend time with his family.

Garret Price is one of the most respected millennial local church Sports Ministers in The Movement. Price has worked in various roles over the course of his young career, with a majority of his time spent developing local church sports outreaches to diverse groups of urban and suburban athletes. Currently helping to plant a center-city church in Canton, Ohio, Price is responsible for the implementation of the main methodology for the church plant: athletics. A former college football player Garret graduated from Malone University with a degree in Youth/Sports Ministry and is pursuing a Master Degrees. Price and his wife (who had a higher points per game average in high school than he did!) have been married for four years and are expecting their second child in April. An athletic low-light for Garret was scoring a basket in the wrong hoop during a middle school AAU tournament. Bob Schindler has served as the Executive Director of Church Sports Outreach (CSO), since 2003. Prior to that, Bob was a church planter and senior pastor for 10 years and associate pastor for 8 years, all in East Tennessee. In both churches, Bob initiated sports ministries that served both adults and children, and were the primary outreach vehicle for both churches. Before entering the ministry as a vocation, Bob played professional golf for 4 years and was in business for six years, in both the chemical and software industries. Bob studied Chemical Engineering at Vanderbilt University and is currently pursuing his Masters in Religion with an emphasis in Christian Thought at Gordon Conwell Seminary in Charlotte, North Carolina. Besides golf, basketball, and outdoor sports, Bob enjoys learning, analyzing and then synthesizing thoughts - especially about spirituality, sociology, psychology, and sports. Schindler was ordained in the Bible Church movement and is currently a part of the Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA). His home church is Church at Charlotte, an EFCA church, where he and his wife are church supported missionaries. Bob is married to Beth, his wife of 40 years, and has four grown children, 1 girl and 3 boys, two daughters-in-law, two grandsons, and one granddaughter.

Jeff Story is a graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and has been in ministry for 35 years. Jeff is considered a true ministry professional by his peers and highly respected by leaders in the Sports Outreach Movement. He served for 10 in Sports Ministry and is a former CSRM board member. Currently Story serves Immanuel Baptist Church in a role of connecting his church to opportunities to serve the broader Lexington, Kentucky community and beyond..."to the uttermost parts of the world." While working in other capacities, Jeff's passion for and commitment to Sports Ministry remains as he continues to oversee the Sports Ministry staff at his church. Another passion is water skiing but Story shares an even greater joy with his wife Rhonda...as they are the proud parents of two children and one grandson. Ask to see pictures of the greatest grandson in the world who lovingly calls Jeff "Pops." ML Woodruff
