Corrections and additions: None March income was $21,047.29 and expenses $21,956.16 for a deficit of 908.87. 3R Loan amount: $17,000 was paid on the loan. Youth Report Financial The March Youth Report Financials were reviewed. Review March Pastor Marggi s report Vacation (May 24-June 3) Pastor Marggi noted she will be here throughout the summer after her vacation. She will not be going to Houston with the youth. President s Report There was discussion about the closure of church when there are issues such as snow as this last weekend. United Church Cemetery governance There was an incident in the cemetery that the police notified Roger. The church does not oversee the cemetery. There is a governing board that oversees the cemetery. A task force was formed to pull a procedure together to decide what merits a closure with theological and community aspects to be addressed. They will also determine communication such television, radio, Facebook, and the webpage. Pastor Marggi, Mary Ayen, and Linda Herrick will serve on the task force.

Daryl Klevan, Keith and Jane Clementson are the members on the board for future reference. Project 3 R Trust Fund request was discussed. There have been requests of $10,000. Roger will prepare the document. Ron talked with Leah Wichman about a request for $5,000 from Trust Fund, and $2,000 from Building Committee to support replacement of the furnace and air conditioning units. Motion: to request $10,000 from the trust fund for 3R By: Joan Hendrickson Second: Ron Gabrielson Linda Herrick was asked to prepare a request to cover the cost of the handbell maintenance. Committee Reports Staff report Ron Gabrielson noted the email from Jessica Hooper regarding training of staff and volunteers regarding child safety policies. Cindy s report was submitted. A task force will be formed with Willie Rauen, Mike Brengman, as usher captain, and treasurer, Terry Paulson to address the procedures for securing the church offerings. Ron noted he had visited with Joanne and she was very happy with her position. Mission/Evangelism Joan Henriksen No report Property Management Tony Stensland Fellowship hall there are 2 furnaces and 2 AC units. Need to take the AC out to get to the furnaces. Will not be able to get the coolant in the next couple years for the air conditioners. There are 3 furnaces that need to be replaced and potentially 3 ACs. Other projects are the signage, bell tower, and organ repair. The Executive Committee met with Chuck and Tony to discuss priorities and needs. Worship Mary Ayen no report Youth & Family Ministry Willie Rauen Sunday school age: We had "Camp Sunday" on April 8th. I tried to recreate a sample VBS day, so the kids would get excited & have an idea about what happens at camp. We first watched a Good Earth village video, looked at 2017 VBS pictures from here, while we ate a camp snack. We then played a group game "Catch the Rabbit" then ended with a craft. We sent home VBS invites explaining camp. Camp is set for July 30th-

Aug.2nd Night time VBS again 5-8pm going on our 3rd year. *We are now into our last two Sun. of class. We have two project Sundays. We are trying something new this year. The kids have signed up for one project - April 15th & one project - April 22nd. I'm inviting anyone in the congregation to come & take a look at our project hour. Just in case you would like to check it out on the 15th before you go to the council meeting on the 16th, we'd love to have you visit us. We'll be in 3 different locations in the basement. Our projects are: *Painting on Canvas / Face Painting / & decorating a Piano (you will have to check out the newly painted old piano, so you know what I'm talking about) *Mosaic Tile Coasters *Stamping Leather Bookmarks with many different shapes / designs *We were planning on having a Bicycle Safety Day, but since the weather is not cooperating, this one is cancelled for the 15th, & I'm afraid the 22nd we'll have to cancel that one too. **We end our Sunday school year with the Annual "Sundae Sunday" in the Fellowship Hall on Sun. April 29th. 7th gr. - Senior Youth We finished up the Cinnamon Rolls on Palm Sunday with the 7th. gr. as a fundraiser for Confirmation Camp. I think it was a successful year. We have 10-7th gr. students that will be attending camp beginning of June. *Easter turned out great, bringing in $740. I spent aprox. $200 *This Sun. April 15th we start selling the raffle prize tickets for the Mother's Day Brunch. Our prizes are: Yeti Cooler, $100 Gift Certificate to Jenny's Greenhouse, & a Tile Creation from the Wilson's *Confirmation Class has met again since our Lenten break. We have 3 more classes, & then the May 9th Picnic on the church ground with a Volleyball game. (Let's hope our weather cooperates!!) *We look forward to Sr. Recognition Sunday honoring our graduates on Sun. May 20th. The Seniors will help Usher / Greet / Read / Special Music during the services, & have a reception during fellowship time. *We still meet every Wed. for "CBC" Christian Breakfast Club. We have about 18 kids that attend weekly. Our last Breakfast of the season is Wed. May 16th held at Bridget's. Social Ministry no report at this time.

Adult Education Linda Herrick Programs are planned and alternative programs are available. There is money in the account yet. Trust Fund Willie Rauen Next meeting is Wednesday 4/18 The trust fund committee met two weeks ago to welcome new members and discuss their role. Project 3R Lori Copeman All envelops were taken from Lent Services. Still waiting to get final totals in from this giving drive. Singing in the Spring event cancelled due to lack of interest. We are still planning to have the Silent Auction with bidding starting on April 15 th and running through the Cinco de Mayo event. Plan to meet as a group again within the next month to discuss plans to promote giving to the 3R project. We are looking to invite Mark Behrends or Jana Scholl to help us discuss transfer of IRA funds as tax deduction. Old Business New Business All Committee Meeting. Resignation Pastor Marggi noted that Mark Behrens or Jana offer to look at donation of investments, wills, etc. as a method of fund raising as well. A church calendar was made available containing single service dates and the change of the service times. Roger outlined the format of the All Committee Meeting. Leah will review the committee guidelines. April 25 th was set as the tentative date with a 6:30 start time. There will be pizza, pop, and water. Mary Ann Urban has resigned as the director of the handbell choir. No action.
