Districts are required to report to the Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) all students enrolled and professional staff employed on the PEIMS snapshot date of October 27, 2017 (last Friday in October). Districts are also required to report to PEIMS the leaver reason for students served last year in grades 7-12 who do not return to school by October 27, 2017, (close of school start window has been extended due to Hurricane Harvey). Data reported to PEIMS must be reviewed for accuracy and completeness. Each campus is responsible for reviewing and verifying their PEIMS data. Various data entry guides are posted on the district s Student Information Systems web page to assist data entry personnel on where to go in eschoolplus to input various PEIMS data. PEIMS data entered into applications other than eschoolplus (i.e. estar, WebSmartt, etc.) is rolled into eschoolplus nightly during the overnight process. Districts must meet the deadlines set by TEA for each PEIMS submission.
