TESTING DATES TO PLACE ON YOUR SCHOOL CALENDAR ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS SURVEY Intent to Participate Survey (delivered by email) Due August 1 TGRG K-3 First Day of School thru September 30 - Third Grade Reading Guarantee (TGRG) - K-3 Reading Diagnostic Testing Required for K-3 scholarship students and expected for K-3 non-scholarship students Students are coded either On Track, Not on Track, or Not Assessed. Students scoring Not on Track or Not Assessed must begin receiving intensive reading intervention by November 30. Schools must use an approved reading diagnostic assessment and have materials prepared for use on the first day of school. TESTING DATES TO PLACE ON YOUR SCHOOL CALENDAR OELPA K-8 January March Ohio English Language Proficiency Assessment (OELPA) Testing Required for K-12 scholarship English Language Learner (ELL) students not yet exited. This is an online assessment. Students will need a headset with microphone for the speaking test and a headset for all other tests. Some printed accommodated forms will be available. Teachers administering the assessment must be trained. The speaking test must be administered individually. ELL students who scored a composite score of 5 the previous school year or who have scored a composite score of 4 or above for two years during grade 3 or later do not test. Participation is optional for non-scholarship students. Participation is required for scholarship students. Tested subjects include reading, mathematics, science, writing, technology and engineering literacy, history, civics, geography, visual arts, and music. ISP students whose plan exempts them from passing must test at least once after the exemption decision has been made.
