B V M ENGINEERING COLLEGE V.V NAGAR CULTURAL REPORT AND ACHIEVEMENT FOR YEAR 2015-2016 Following cultural activities done during the year 2015 2016 1) International Yoga Day Celebrated with large number of students with teaching and nonteaching staff of the college at Shastri Ground. (Report Attached) 2) A PRAVESHOTSAV - 2015 program for new comers in college was arranged on Monday, 3-08-2015 and 350 students and parents participated in the program. 3) A Theatre drama workshop organized for training of: Stage movements, Stage craft, Voice modulation & exercise for improving body language and expressions. (Notice attached) 4) A blood donation camp organized on Wednesday, 1st July 2015 and 103 units blood collected. All staff and students take keen interest in this noble cause and 86 bottles collected. (Soft Copy with all detail: staff student s donor list with ID Number, blood group etc available) 5) A poster, Essay and Debate competition held for celebration of world population day from 11 July to 31st July at C C Patel Community Centre of Sardar Patel University, V V Nagar. 13 students participated in Debate, 9 students participated in Essay and 8 students participated in Poster.

10) Cultural night organized by college students during TEQIP II sponsored International Conference on Women in Science and technology: Creating Sustainable Career (List of Events and Students attached) 11) AMUL VOLCANO 16 was organised by Rotary Club Anand Round Town and Anand Municipality from 15th Feb to 20th Feb, 2016. There are 40 events with 1500+ students of 24 colleges around Anand and V.V Nagar has participated. The college bagged the first prize in 18 events, second prize in 5 events and become the overall champions with 84 points. 12) A cycle rally organized by Rotary Club Anand Round Town with the mission of Cleanliness, Literacy and healthiness form V V Nagar to Anand. 200 Students of BVM participated with colourful cycles, banners and slogans. A unique cycle of six wheels made by BVM students which was main attraction of the rally which was appreciated by Rotary, Dr C L Patel and MD of Milk marketing federation Mr R S Sodhi. 13) A national folk/tribal dance festival THANGANAT organize by Charotar Education Society, Anand on Sunday, 28-02-2016. Twelve students of college have participated. (List of students and certificate attached) 14) An international short film competition held at Charotar Education Society on 10 03 2016, we became CHAMPION and receives 25,000/-Rs cash prize. The film PAZBAN made by Mitrayan De Sarkar, 4th Year EL student represented this event.
15) A state level singing competition held at NIRMA Universit, Amdavad, We became CHAMPION. Prachi Jhala, 3 rd year ET student represented this event. 16) UDAAN 16 (The Euphoric lips) Technical and Cultural festival organize during 31March to 2 April. There are 28 Technical events, 20 Non-Technical events and 3 cultural nights in which 3000+ students has participated from B V M and other engineering colleges of Gujarat. Cultural night on 31st live T 20 semi-final cricket match on big LED screen shown, on 1 st April, there is a Garba Night and 2 nd April is a KURUSHETRA (Schedule is attached, Hard Drive of UDAAN 16 with all detail is attached) 17) Two cultural nights are celebrated during 12/13-04-2016 during college Annual day.
