Senior Activity Guidelines Senior Activities: Overview Senior Activities are planned by the staff AND students of NHS to celebrate this year s graduating class! Seniors with BEHAVIORS and/or ATTENDANCE issues or outstanding FINANCIAL OBLIGATIONS could affect participation in senior activities. Voluntary Saturday School: 4/21, 5/5, 5/19, 6/2

Senior Activity Guidelines Senior Contract! All seniors who plan to participate in senior activities MUST have a senior contract signed and on file DUE to your english teacher before this week (those who don t have a language class must turn it in to Mr.McConnell, Rm. 113)

Senior Activity Guidelines Caps, Gowns & Announcements! Nipomo High School is using souvenir caps and gowns If you haven t ordered your cap and gown, Rush Order Forms are available in the Activities Office.

Senior Activity Guidelines DIPLOMAS! You will only receive the case for your diploma at the ceremony. Diplomas will be available IMMEDIATELY after the graduation in the foyer of the Titan Gym OR They can be picked up June 11-15 in the NHS Office

Senior Activity Guidelines Dress Requirements Please check your Senior Handbook for each activity and dress ACCORDINGLY! Students inappropriately dressed will not be allowed to participate in senior activities including graduation. NO LEIS OR OTHER DECORATIVE ITEMS ARE TO BE WORN AT GRADUATION.

Senior Activity Guidelines Spring Semester Grades/Final Graduation Eligibility Final grades on Friday JUNE 1, 2018 determine eligibility for graduation Students must complete all 235 credits and 20 hours of Community service in order to participate in the graduation ceremony, INCLUDING credits for any off campus classes.

Senior Activities Tickets will be on sale in the Activities Office from April Junior- Senior Prom Sat. April 28th 7:30-10:30 @ Mountain Brook Community Center, SLO. 9th, to April 26th. $45 w/ an ASB $55 w/o! Prom is open to NHS students and their dates ONLY Dress formal (duh) Guest Passes are due before April 19th. LAST DAY TO PURCHASE TICKETS IS THURSDAY, APRIL 26TH-no exceptions

Grad Night @ Universal Studios Depart from NHS @ 3:30, Thursday, May 31st Arrive back to NHS @ 6:00 AM, Friday, June 1st If your ticket has not been yet purchased, talk to Mr. McConnell in Room 113.

Senior Morning Breakfast Monday, June 4th @ 9:30-11:00 AM FREE Breakfast Yearbooks are being sold at the breakfast Games and Activities (whoop whoop) You CAN participate in both games and activities, sign yearbooks, and talk with friends. Attendance is mandatory

Senior Showcase SENIORS: Wear your Monday, June 4th @ 6:30-9:00 at the Clark Center in AG gowns (not your caps) Senior Awards and Scholarships will be recognized Class of 2018 Talent Showcase An Event for all seniors to be together

Senior Showcase Auditions! Auditions will be held on May 10th-11th after school in the forum! Sign Ups are on the Activities Office Counter Senior Art projects will also be on display in the lobby of the Clark Center (See Mr. McConnell to apply).

Speaker at Large Auditions will be held on May 15th AFTER school from 3:00-4:00 PM in the Forum If interested, talk to Mr. McConnell in room 113 to sign up!

Graduation Rehearsal Thursday, June 7th and Friday June 8th @ 8:00-11:00 AM ALL SENIORS WHO PLAN TO PARTICIPATE IN GRADUATION MUST ATTEND THIS REHEARSAL!! NO EXCEPTIONS Graduation rehearsal will begin promptly @ 8:00 AM in the stadium bleachers Rehearsal will last until MASTERY is achieved!

Graduation Ceremony Friday, June 8th @ 5:00-6:00 PM AUDIO DEDICATIONS The dedications will be played before the ceremony Dedications will be recorded during your Gov t. Or Econ. Classes Stay tuned for more information

Graduation Ceremony Friday, June 8th @ 5:00-6:00 PM Honored Guests Chosen by the Class of 2018 Speakers at Senior Showcase & Graduation Each Senior may nominate staff members who have made a positive impact on them during their high school career

Graduation Ceremony Friday, June 8th @ 5:00-6:00 PM ATTIRE Personal appearance should NOT draw unnecessary attention ONLY permissible additions to the caps and gowns are: School issued C.S.F gold stoles, Top Ten student medals and Titan colored tassels, Pathway completer cords NO LEIS UNTIL AFTER CEREMONY!

Graduation Ceremony Friday, June 8th @ 5:00-6:00 PM ATTIRE Gentlemen are asked to wear dress shirts and slacks. Please, no jeans. Ladies are requested to wear dresses or a skirt and blouse. Flat or low heeled, close-toed shoes are recommended due to the surface of the stadium field (but not required).

Graduation Ceremony Friday, June 8th @ 5:00-6:00 PM ATTIRE Caps WILL be worn on the head with one point aimed straight ahead. Tassels WILL be worn on the left side of the cap until asked to pull it over!

Graduation Ceremony Friday, June 8th @ 5:00-6:00 PM ALL GRADUATING SENIORS report to the gym by 4:00 PM for dressing. Caps and gowns are to be CARRIED, not worn into the gym ALL GRADUATING SENIORS will be lined up no later than 4:45 PM. The processional into the stadium areas will begin at 5:00 PM.
