Setting goals is really deciding what you would like to get out of this year so that you can focus on how you want to get there kind of like a map. In 4-H we set both personal and project goals. Personal goals could be to meet new friends or to go to camp. Project goals would be learning to make whole wheat bread or learning to make buttonholes in sewing. Goals should have three parts that can be measured: action, results, and time. How are you going to do it? What will you do? And when do you plan to have it done? The project record is a great tool to help you in capturing your 4-H goals for the year and documenting your progress and achievement of those goals. They are also very helpful in completing the end-of-the year forms. Project records are Y620 4-H Project Record and can be found on the 4h.missouri.edu website. 4-H Council Opportunity Support At the November 27th Council meeting, the Council approved to reimburse 1/4 of registration costs for members attending 4-H Camp, Teen Conference, and State Congress upon the return of the delegate. Keep this in mind as you consider signing up for these opportunities. Katie Hogan is on the list to help chaperone this year s Teen Conference!
