Principal s Report: Welcome back to term 3. I am hoping and planning that it will be a productive and successful term for all students, staff and parents. In particular welcome back to Miss Ballinger and Mrs McCarty who were both away on leave at the end of last term. On Tuesday 18th July our architects were in the school for most of the day refining details with key staff about room layouts, I.T. requirements, colour schemes and a host of other details. They will return next Thursday to discuss and explain details further with staff and our school council. They are hopeful that the project will go to tender within a month and demolition can begin late this year. Please feel free to contact me if you are interested to know more details. All the very best to students and staff who head off on the Year 11 Work Experience trip to Melbourne on Sunday. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to gain an insight into a possible career and experience city life. Many thanks to Mr Callaway and Mr Huddy who have done an inordinate amount of work behind the scenes to plan this experience. Well done to Yazmin Hayes who has been selected as a member of the School Sport Victoria Team Vic 10-19 years Cross Country Team. The team will compete in the annual School Sport Australia Cross Country Championships in Hobart from 11th to 14th August. There are raffle tickets to sell at the College to help with the cost of the trip. Keep in mind that if you wish to purchase a new soft shell winter jacket as a new addition to our school uniform can you please order at either Rochester Sportspower or Parsons Rochester by next Tuesday, July 25th. Many thanks for your ongoing support and all the very best for term 3.
