Ray Filipiak, Dan Ahern, Tim Wright 4D Modeling for Roads with Bentley Schedule Simulation The Bentley Schedule Simulation tool enables you to visualize a schedule by integrating 2D or 3D engineering data with a project schedule. It is designed to help in the planning, design or construction stages of a project so that you can get a visual representation of the required tasks and prevent spatial conflicts. For the engineer or contractor it can aid in determining constructability and sequencing of a project. This session will focus on how we can take an OpenRoads Designer 3D model plus a construction schedule and create a 4D model to show construction sequencing/phasing. Scott Urbas Conceptualize and Communicate Your Road Design with OpenRoads ConceptStation OpenRoads ConceptStation helps you jump start your projects by rapidly creating conceptual models that allow you to evaluate design alternatives and estimated costs faster, resulting in improved project decisions. Use OpenRoads ConceptStation's powerful modeling capabilities to model roads, rail, intersections, bridges, tunnels and more. Continuously updated estimated project costs make it easy to evaluate design alternatives and options. The conceptual models are easily shared with the public and stakeholders using the built in realistic visualizations capabilities. Jason Harkless Open Modeler What is it and How Can You Use it Today? Develop intelligent, 3D, parametric bridge models for your highway projects with Bentley s Open Modeler. Easily manage changes with built in, user defined relationships among bridge components and reference DGN models throughout the lifecycle of the bridge. Learn how Open Modeler's integrated workflow minimizes errors and improves efficiency. Open Modeler leverages OpenRoads geometry data (terrain, alignments, profile, and superelevation) ensuring the bridge and roadway geometry are the same and transfers directly into LEAP and RM for detailed design and analysis. Superelevation with OpenRoads Designer OpenRoads Designer introduces improvements for superelevation definition and processing. Join us to learn about new ways to define and edit superelevation and the new superelevation rate file that provides nearly unlimited flexibility for max super and transition length calculations. OpenRoads ConceptStation also allows for no loss of data when moving into Preliminary from Concept. Kevin Schlereth, HNTB Moving to OpenRoads Designer Setting up Annotation, During this session we will discuss all of the details, tips, and tricks to setup definitions for the new OpenRoads Designer annotation tools. OpenRail ConceptStation Planning Stage Layout, Cost Estimations and Visualization Come see how the recently released OpenRail ConceptStation software enables rail designers during the planning stage to easily layout and generate cost estimates of rail corridors and yards, including overhead electrification. Once conceptualized, visualize the design model, including train animations, for clear communication with project stakeholders. Jason Harkless Subsurface Utilities Drawing Production Subsurface Utilities A look at creating plan, profile, and section sheets that include Subsurface Utilities. In this session you will learn to use the Populate tool(s) and create traffic animations using content that is render ready in LumenRT and can be exported to a LumenRT scene. Topics included in this session will include: 3D line styles, Pavement markings (stenciling), Populate tool, Traffic animation, Lumen RT. Tom Stogdill Moving to OpenRoads Designer Migrating Civil Cells and Project Data This session will discuss the workflow and details of migrating civil cells and project data from V8i into OpenRoads Designer, CONNECT Edition. OpenRoads Best Practice Drawing Production Join Bentley experts for tips and tricks using the new OpenRoads Designer cross section and plan sheet layout and annotation tools. OpenRoads Navigator Collaboration and Design Visibility in the Field OpenRoads Navigator is an easy to use, dynamic mobile software that provides visibility to a project s civil data in the field, allowing you to interactively view and analyze a wide variety of project information. Improve project coordination and accelerate collaboration through the capture of feedback from field staff making comments and redlining directly on the project data. The result is better decisions throughout the lifecycle of a project, while minimizing risk. Jason Harkless Page 8 of 10
