What is Naviance? Naviance s Family Connection is a comprehensive website that assists with the following: College Planning and Application Process Increase communication with students Career Planning Resume Building, completing on-line surveys, manage timelines & deadlines Personality Assessment & Learning Style Comparing GPA, SAT to past LHS graduates Student Success Plan (SSP)
Why are we using Naviance? Allows us to collect data for grades 6-12, including college acceptance information Allows us to send supporting documents to schools through EDocs College Applications Transcripts School Profile Letters of Recommendations

How Do I Access Naviance? www.ledyard.net Click on LHS Click www.connection.naviance. com/ledyard/ Once you access this link, you will need to register OR if you are a returning visitor you can sign-in using your email and Naviance password. First time users will need to register using a code assigned to students and parents by LHS.

What to Give Your Counselor? For colleges not accepting documents electronically, hard copies will be sent. Large manila envelope, addressed to each college with proper postage. Counselor or school form if required. 10 school days notice Activity/Brag Sheet (for electronic & paper applications)
Teacher Recommendations Provide your Teachers/Counselors with: Teacher Evaluation Form (if required by the college) Two Teacher Recommendations (on average) Ask 3-4 weeks (minimum) in advance Provide a list of colleges & date you would like them to be submitted An Activity/Brag Sheet or Resume Thank You Note
College Admission Testing Students must register to take the SAT and/or ACT - SAT fee includes sending scores to 4 colleges FREE - SAT subject tests or ACT with writing are required for some colleges, usually more competitive schools (check with each school). - LHS CEEB Code: 070342
