This year our first batch at School has appeared for class 12 th board examination. A lots of activities were conducted during this quarter. Hope you will enjoy reading our student s achievements. P a g e 2 S E T U M A R C H E S Invoking the Goddess of Knowledge and Wisdom Saraswati Puja was held across all learning centres (School and Skill) of Setu in Noida, Ghaziabad and Jaipur to invoke a sense of knowledge, music, art, wisdom among the students of SETU. At our Sadarpur Colony Centre books were distributed to students and at our Nithari Centre a new batch of sewing was launched to mark the occasion. R e p u b l i c d a y c e l e b r a t i o n Happy Republic Day 2018 - The 69th Republic day was celebrated with fun and fare at Setu. The Theme was " India a Journey from Golden Glory to Globalization". A lovely Edutainment Cultural show was organised by the students of Setu School, Sweet and food hampers were distributed to students on the occasion. The Setu School students of Class 9 embarked on an educational trip to Bharatpur, India courtesy our Advisor Mr. Arun Agrawal who has organised the trip. Thank you to you Sir and all your friends who have made this possible. They really enjoyed and are back home after a great learning experience and wonderful excursion covering Fatehpur Sikri on the way back. S e t u r o c k s a t i n t e r n g o s p o r t s m e e t With 2 Trophies for Best Neat and Clean Team and the Best Player for the Meet to Nitin, 10 gold,1 silver and 4 bronze medals - the students (from class 1 st to class 12 th ) of Setu school gave a magnificent performance among 16 schools and 200 children at a Sports meet organised by Concern India Foundation.

Our first batch of Class 12 shall be writing their board exams this year - A milestone and a dream come true for many of us. As the students move ahead in their endeavor to achieve higher frontiers the Class 11 students organised a farewell party for the Class 12 students and bid they Good Bye. The passing out students shared their experience at Setu, some of them had been with us for 10 years now. A Cultural show was presented by the Students of the Setu Centre for People with Special needs on the occasion of Holi. The event was followed by rangoli making and games which were enjoyed by all the students at Setu. Finally sweets were distributed to all students and teachers. 3

The students were also provided Medicines after the checkup. 78 girls were immunized with HPV vaccine, thanks to Max India Foundation for this support. O r i e n t a t i o n s e s s i o n f o r p a r e n t s o f n e w s t u d e n t s An orientation session was organised for the parents of all new students admitted to Setu School for the session 2018-2019. After the interactive session Dabur products were presented to the parents.
V o l u m e 2 5 P a g e 5 S k i l l c e n t e r s During this quarter 176 Students were certified in IT, 34 in Healthcare, 158 in Sewing, 8 in textile, 11 in English & 14 in Tally were certified at different convocation ceremonies Certificates were awarded to Students who completed their vocational courses In Basic IT, Tally and Tailoring Courses by Mrigaya Dayal and Yasir Kazmi from Fidelity International also present were Trustees and staff of Setu. Students of the Setu Centre for People with Disabilities also participated in the event along with Setu school students. For them it s an opportunity to show case their talent in front of huge audience. This time few students gave speech and younger children performed in group. Sweet and food hampers were distributed to students on the occasion Courtesy Support from employees of Cognizant Outreach and Mentor Graphics. 3.Cooking classes These type of activities help them in becoming independent in their daily routine life. 4. Holi Milan Cultural show was presented by the Students of the Setu Centre for People with Special needs on the occasion of Holi. The event was followed by rangoli making and games which were enjoyed by all the students at Setu. Finally sweets were distributed to all students.

Special learning Trip for our Special Students Volunteers from Price Waterhouse Coopers organised a trip to the National Rail Museum for the students of the Setu Skill Centre for People with Special needs. A great learning as well as an excursion for the students. N e w T i e u p s Team contacted new organisations like Samarthanam and Voice of Slum. Team is regularly visiting CMO office Noida, for gathering more data. With every body s effort we were able to enroll 183 students in our center. Another team is working on placement of trained students. S u c c e s s s t o r y Sahil Aneja, 24 years old, is differently abled student. SUMMARY OF THE STUDENT Sahil belongs to a family of 4 members which include his parents and one brother. He is the only deaf member of his family. After high school he has done Diploma in ECE and B. Tech in CSE. He is a good Athletic too. CHANGES THROUGH SETU PWC SETU PWC has provided him Grooming classes, in which he has got positive spirit.he has grown his skill through innovative learning. He has learnt how to make useful and progressive contribution in the organization to be work. we were able to enroll 183 students in our center. 7
He appeared in job interview at K.B.I.( Krishna Beads Industries) where he got selected for the job in his first attempt. His salary there is 15,000 Rs. per month. He and his family are very happy. SUMMARY OF THE STUDENT Mukesh, 28 years old and his wife both are deaf. After 12 Class he has done B.Com from Madurai Kamaraj University and short course of MS Office. CHANGES THROUGH SETU PWC He joined Grooming and IT classes in SETU PwC in September 2017. Here, he has improved his computer skill.got expert level of knowledge of Data Entry. He got selected in a B.P.O. company. Now, he is still working there and is fully satisfied. SETU PwC helped him to overcome his disability and become an independent member of his family.
