PBIS: A Source of PRIDE at Lincoln High School
Each marking period (every five weeks), all students at Lincoln High School will be issued a PRIDE Card. PRIDE Card will grant student s entry into sporting events, dances, band/choir concerts, plays, talent shows, field trips, and pep assemblies, etc. Students with PRIDE Cards will also have access to: discounted ticket prices, special prizes, privileges, and trips.
P.R.I.D.E. is a daily reminder of the high expectations we have for our students. LHS students who exhibit PRIDE are: Prepared Respectful Involved Determined Enthusiastic
To keep your PRIDE Card and have access to the activities listed, students are expected to meet the following requirements: Academics: A GPA of 2.25 or higher Attendance: Less than 10 absences per semester in any class Behavior: No suspensions
PRIDE in the Restroom Keep area clean and neat The bathroom is for taking care of personal needs, not socializing You must have a hall pass during class Be mindful of personal space Shhhh classes are in session PRIDE in the Hallway Wear your ID Stay to the right and keep traffic moving Use inside voices and appropriate language Keep halls neat and clean Passing time is for passing, not horseplay Keep interactions quick, polite, and positive.
PRIDE in the Cafeteria Pick up after yourself and push in chairs Use inside voices and appropriate language Arrive and exit in an orderly and timely fashion Be polite and positive PRIDE at Athletic Events Come prepared: ID, PRIDE Card, Money Keep interactions positive (cheering, no booing). Cheer on your ABES! Refrain from talking, phones, or wearing hats during the National Anthem Keep our new gym clean! Pick up after yourself.
PRIDE in the Auditorium and Assemblies Have ticket if needed Arrive and exit in an orderly and timely fashion Applaud and cheer when appropriate Refrain from talking during a performance Stay seated No food or drink PRIDE on a Field Trip Come prepared: Be on time, bring money and permission slip as needed. Represent LHS in a positive way Use your manners: Positive language/interactions, please and thank you, follow directions Learn something new and HAVE FUN!
All LHS Students Exhibit PRIDE in the Classroom: Be on time Bring your materials Be polite and respectful toward teacher, peers, and guests Keep your bag, coat, phone, and other electronics in your locker Stay awake and engaged! Learn something!
Students choosing not to abide by LHS standards for achievement, attendance, and behavior, will lose the privilege to participate in events including: Homecoming/Prom Sporting Events Field Trips Plays/Musicals/Concerts Other School Activities
To Earn a Temporary PRIDE Card (valid for 1 week) Pick up a Temporary PRIDE Card form in the MO, AO, or CO. Attend two hours of tutoring (Ketchup Lunch, or after school). Make sure your tutor signs the form! Get an administrator or Ms. McClenathan to sign your form. Your form will serve as your Temporary PRIDE Card for one week after your last tutoring session. If your GPA is a 2.25 or above by the next Progress Report, you will receive your PRIDE Card (valid for five weeks)
Maintain PERFECT Attendance for the next five weeks to earn back your card. Extenuating circumstance (death in the family, serious medical issue, etc.) will be dealt with on a case by case basis and will require an Appeal Form and documentation. You may earn a Temporary PRIDE Card by completing two hours of tutoring (Ketchup Lunch or after school) AND maintaining perfect attendance for that week (valid for 1 week). Make sure to get your tutors, FAS teachers, and an administrator to sign your form!
If you are suspended, your PRIDE Card will be removed by an administrator. You may earn it back by doing the following things: Have no other discipline issues for five consecutive weeks Obtain and complete a PRIDE Card Application (found in MO, CO, and AO) Return completed form to the Assistant Principal or Ms. McClenathan
Get help at lunch in room 208 with Ketchup Lunch (two sessions=one hour) Attend after school tutoring from 2:30 to 4pm. Monday: Math in Room 222 and/or Social Studies in Room 103 Tuesday: Project Completion in Room 212 Wednesday: Math in Room 222 and/or English in Room 107 Thursday: Science in Room 232
At LHS, we expect our athletes to exhibit outstanding PRIDE. Therefore, student athletes not able to meet the requirements (2.25 GPA, less than 10 absences, no suspensions) will not be permitted to compete until their PRIDE card is returned OR they complete the weekly steps required for a Temporary Card.
