NELSON S BOOK FAIR: The annual Spring Book Fair will be held in the Parish Hall beginning on May 10th May 15th. The required summer reading books will be available at the book fair. If you still need service hours, please fill out the attached flyer and return it to the office or contact your book fair coordinator, Sue Urbina @ 626-824-4936. FIRST COMMUNION CHOIR: Is your child interested in singing for the First Communicants? Sr. Andrea is looking for students in grades 3rd 6th who are interested in signing at the First Communion Mass on Saturday, May 21st @ 10:30 am. Students who participate will receive a special treat from Mrs. Rodriguez on Monday, May 23rd. Please contact Sr. Andrea if you would like to participate. SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY FOR JUNIOR HIGH STUDENTS: Catholic Middle School students are invited to submit a one-page 250 400 word essay to compete for scholarships. Please see the flyer attached for guidelines and further information. Essays are due by September 30, 2016. The scholarships will be awarded at the Missionary Childhood Mass at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, Los Angeles, on October 19, 2016. OPEN HOUSE: Join us for our second Open House of the year on Wednesday, May 18th from 5 7 pm. Come visit your child s classroom and invite families who you think may be interested in being part of our STM family. STM BAGS FOR SALE: If you are interested in purchasing an STM drawstring bag, please stop by the office. The cost is $20 and includes a stuffed animal and free dress pass. There are only 6 left! FINANCIAL ACCOUNTS: As the school year draws to a close, please take a moment to ensure that you are in good financial standing in regards to school fees, including daycare fees. Students will not be allowed to take final exams until accounts are up to date. 8th grade students may not participate in graduation activities if financial accounts are not up to date. VIRTUS TRAINING: We will be having one final VIRTUS training session on Wednesday, June 8 from 6-9 pm in the Parish Hall. Please remember that it is necessary to complete the VIRTUS training and be fingerprinted through the Archdiocese in order to volunteer at school functions or be a chaperone on field trips.
